Eggnog Nails Are The Trendy Holiday Edition Of The Milk Manicure
You've probably heard of quite a few beverage-inspired nail trends making their way around the likes of TikTok and Instagram. We've had delicious latte nails, pumpkin spice nails, and milk nails as the big leaders this year, but now there's something new to ask your manicurist for as the year ends: Eggnog nails. Yep, you read that right. Nails inspired by the boozy drink are the new thing on the block, and they're a holiday twist on the milk nails we saw over the summer of 2023.
This look is about going for a super creamy neutral off-white look inspired by the milk punch drink that's so widely enjoyed over the holidays. As celebrity nail artist Jenny Hart explained to Byrdie, "The eggnog nail trend references the rich, creamy off-white and buttery vanilla color of a popular treat drink during the festive season." So, it's not quite a cream, not quite a light yellow, but not quite a vanilla. This specific shade is somewhere in the middle, so you may also have seen it come under the umbrella of cream nails. As celebrity makeup artist Brittney Boyce described it, "[It's] a honey-toned tinted white nail polish."
Because the eggnog shade is neutral, it'll go with so many different outfits — which is always a win. And there are so many ways to amp it up for the holiday season. So, we've compiled a few of our favorite ways to wear this trend.
Keep it simple
There's no doubting simple eggnog nails on their own are absolutely stunning, and just having the creamy shade on your nails can be absolutely enough to pull off this twist on milk nails. This minimalist manicure with just the one creamy color all over your talons is perfect for those who like to keep their nails simple.
Mix eggnog and glitter (on your nails only)
But that's not the only addition that will suit this creamy nail trend. If you're celebrating something over the winter, such as Christmas, Kwanzaa, or Hanukkah, then you could add a little glitter to the look, like the twist on the trend you can see above. We like to call this look spiced eggnog, as it almost looks like little bits of cinnamon floating in on the surface.
