Molly Ringwald's Oldest Daughter Mathilda Grew Up To Be An Absolute Beauty
Long-time fans of Molly Ringwald may have caught glimpses of her daughter, Mathilda Gianopoulos, accompanying her to the occasional event back in the 2000s. Now, the little one isn't so little, having turned 21 years old in October 2025. Just as then-and-now photos of Ringwald show that she's aged like fine wine, Mathilda has also grown up to be an absolute beauty.
The eldest of the three children that the "Sixteen Candles" star shares with Panio Gianopoulos, Mathilda was pictured at the premiere of "One Night Only" in August 2026. She looked amazing with softly feathered brows, smoky eyeshadow emphasizing her brown irises, and a dark pink lip color. The rising actor wore her long brown hair in a middle part, with two twisted tresses framing her oval-shaped face as a sort of faux fringe.
Mathilda attended the event alongside her famous mom, and the joint appearance ranked them among mother-daughter duos who stunned on the red carpet in 2026. The two weren't exactly matching, but each wore a shade of beige paired with an interesting textile. Together, they made for an absolutely stunning pair.
Mathilda kicked off a modeling career in 2017
Mathilda Gianopoulos' evolution was on full display when she walked the red carpet with her famous mom, but this isn't the first time her beauty was in the spotlight. The young star seemingly launched her modeling career back in 2017, posing for J. Crew during New York Fashion Week. Molly Ringwald shared snippets of the experience on Instagram, lightheartedly referring to herself as a stage mom and uploading a video mid-photoshoot.
Gianopoulos then made headlines with another modeling venture in 2020. She was dubbed the leader of the new generation of models after participating in Andrew Warren's Just Drew New York Fashion Week presentation, appearing alongside Kyra Kennedy, daughter of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Mary Kennedy, and Ming Lee Simmons, daughter of Russell Simmons and Kimora Lee. Ringwald was reportedly spotted backstage supporting her young daughter, then-16, by helping her get ready.
While modeling has put her looks front and center, Gianopoulos has also followed in her mom's footsteps with acting. She appeared in the Anne Hathaway movie "The Idea of You" in 2025 and then in the short "Graduation Day" in 2026. With a lot of life ahead of her, we can't wait to see how Mathilda Gianopoulos continues to evolve from here.
