Then & Now: Molly Ringwald And Ally Sheedy Have Aged Like Fine Wine

Though it's been decades since actors Ally Sheedy and Molly Ringwald starred in the seminal teen drama "The Breakfast Club," both stars remain total beauty goals. In fact, like the rest of the '80s Brat Pack, they're grown up and are so totally gorgeous. "How did you manage to get hotter with age?" asked one Reddit user during a Reddit Ask Me Anything event with Ringwald, to which the actor replied, "I drink the blood of Kristen Stewart."

But despite Ringwald's jokes, fans think that part of the reason Sheedy and Ringwald still look so great is because they haven't gone to crazy lengths to preserve the appearance of youth. "These two are some of the few Hollywood personalities that have aged well, because they haven't gone through so much plastic surgery that they look like shiny [mannequins]," wrote one Reddit user. That can happen as excessive Botox and filler can sometimes draw attention to the inevitable changes that come with aging, rather than obscuring them.

However, it's not just that both women are still gorgeous. Molly Ringwald and Ally Sheedy are the kind of celebrities who are confronting aging with confidence. That's always beautiful, and definitely inspiring. In her 2010 memoir "Getting the Pretty Back," Ringwald explored her feelings about getting older — particularly about turning 40. "I think one of the resounding themes of the book is about how essential it is to have confidence in yourself," she told Salon at the time. "I write about how important it is to find ways to fall in love with yourself ... This is something that has taken me a long time to get, but I must say that it is also one of the advantages to being in your 40s."

Meanwhile, Sheedy has spoken openly about how getting older allowed her to shed some of the insecurities that plagued her during her younger years. "What happened was I hit my 30s and all of a sudden I was not spending so much time thinking about my weight, because there were too many other things going on," she told Salon. At the end of the day — as with fellow Brat Pack member Demi Moore, who isn't letting aging in Hollywood define her — no one glows more than a woman who is radiating confidence.
