Orange Scented Perfumes Are Having A Moment This Summer

Every season must have its own star scent, and for this summer, orange-scented fragrances are taking centre stage. The citrus-y scent is all the rage and is looking to be one of the biggest fragrance trends of 2026. And it's no wonder, as the refreshing scent can brighten the mood, while being perfect for a day out on the beach. "I think orange and citrus perfumes are having a moment because they feel fresh, bright, and uplifting, especially in summer," Sasha Chou, founder of Mumu Bath, told Women. 
What's more, you will be spoiled by all the choices available on the market for orange blossom perfumes, as well as the different types of blends that will suit everyone's tastes. 

But there's a strategy for picking out the perfect orange-scented perfume for you, as apparently, orange "can mean very different things", according to Chris Rosasco, co-founder of LIKE85 NYC. He shared exclusively with Women, "If you enjoy crisp, sparkling fragrances, look for orange paired with bergamot or neroli. If you prefer something warmer and longer-lasting, choose compositions with amber, woods, or musk." Rosasco added that orange scents have the tendency to change how they smell after initial application, so it's best to leave the scent for "20 to 30 minutes on skin" when you're out shopping for the perfect orange perfume.

When selecting an orange fragrance, Sasha Chou told Women to consider the mood or time of day first. "For daytime, look for citrus with green notes, tea, herbs, or other fresh notes," Chou shared. "For something warmer or more refined, choose citrus with sandalwood, musk, amber, vanilla, or florals."

Despite the vast range of orange-scented perfumes you can choose from, some are revealed to be clear winners. One of them is Jo Malone London's Orange Blossom Cologne, as its fresh, floral scent makes you feel as though you're in an English garden. The fragrance is a delicate blend of clementine flower and white lilac, with musky orriswood serving as a base note. This fragrance is ideal to wear during both daytime and the evening hours, perfect for reinvigorating the senses.
