"Milky white pedicures are trending this summer as the nail world promoted 'refined minimalism' for hands. But for fall, I think routines are returning," Kia Stewart, master nail specialist, nail educator and founder of Lux K, tells Women.com exclusively. "The conversation is shifting from simply what looks best, to how our feet feel. Fall is a season [where] we slow down from summer's rush, so pedicure trends will look beyond the polish," she adds. 

Much like with summer 2026's pedicure trend that focused on more than just your toes, we're seeing a rise in brands and products that look to maintain healthy nails, as well as adding color. We're also seeing everything from soft pinks to denim blues reign supreme in the new season, offering versatility and variety as we transition from open toes and sandals to boots and loafers. "These colors will be trendy because they stand out but have variety to comfort you through fall," Stewart says.

Kia Stewart exclusively tells us that soft pinks are one of the hottest pedicure colors for fall. This shade is ideal for those who want to take a softer approach to nails as the cooler weather rolls in. Soft pinks mimic the natural color of the nail bed, so won't clash with your outfits or bolder shoes. The rise of the soft pink shade also bleeds into the return of the French pedicure. This soft pink nail bed with a white tip is officially back on our toes for fall as well, and serves as a chic way to upgrade a soft and pink polish that will give healthy, clean girl vibes.

"If you love a soft natural pink tint with high gloss you need Rose BB cream," Stewart tells us, recommending the GelCare product designed to create a milky texture with the glow of an oil. Even if you're not though, this bright pedicure color can be an instant mood booster when you finally see your toes after a long day where your feet have been concealed under socks and boots. Stewart recommends GelCare's Reef for that exact reason. "[It's] a modern red that will make you want to pull off your socks and admire your feet," she says.

Reef leans a little orange with its undertones, making it one of the most flattering pedicure colors for darker skin tones. If you have fairer skin, you can customize this trend by reaching a more complimentary red. A red polish with a bluer undertone is one of the best pedicure shades for pale skin, so try Sally Hansen's 390 That's A-Blazing! or reach for OPI's Nail Envy in Big Apple Red to strengthen your nails at the same time.

Though a blue pedicure may not be the first shade you think of when you think fall pedicures, Kia Stewart exclusively tells us that a denim-esque blue is the way to go this fall. "Denim is exactly what you think it is but for your feet. It's a blue that feels comforting like your favorite jeans," she says, recommending GelColor's Denim, which is a muted navy blue to match our move into darker wash jeans. Who doesn't just want to fall into a cozy pair of jeans as the leaves fall while sipping on a pumpkin spiced latte?

Standard polishes that will give your feet that similar cozy denim aesthetic (and match your jeans when you take your socks off at the end of the day) include Essie's Pret-a-surfer or OPI's Duomo Days, Isola Nights. It makes sense for the season, too, considering fall is home to Halloween, and an all-black pedicure is a subtly spooky Halloween manicure idea that won't look out of place when November rolls in.

If you're still on the fence though (we get it), allow the black nail theory to convince you. The concept suggests painting your nails this dark hue can majorly boost confidence while adding a dash of mystery, so taps into the idea of thinking about how your feet feel, not just how they look. Just keep in mind though that black polishes can quickly look unkempt (and give teenage gothic faze vibes) when chipped. Green has already been having a moment in the fashion world in 2026, so this darker take will feel fresh and in tune with wider trends. Forest green is particularly ideal for those looking for a trendy pedicure in later fall, as it can easily transition into a winter shade to help you get your money's worth.

Essie's Off Tropic offers a rich take on the trending pedi color.
