Chrissy Teigen is a celebrity with multiple tattoos dedicated to her children. The model and her husband John Legend have four children together, welcoming Luna Simone in April 2016, Miles Theodore in May 2018, Esti Maxine in January 2023, and Wren Alexander Stephens via surrogacy in June 2023. The celebrity couple actually have matching tattoos of their two oldest children's names, with Teigen expanding her collection after getting the cursive ink with her partner in April 2019. 

The TV personality honored her entire family with an inner-arm piece in October of the same year, taking to Instagram to show off the heartwarming tribute. The tattoo consists of the birthdates of her parents, husband, and two oldest children written in a numerical format with simple lettering. "[C]ool mom back at it again," she wrote in the caption, tagging the artist David Stone, also known as Winterstone. Legend took to the comments to lightheartedly add, "The ultimate mnemonic device!"

Then, Teigen celebrated her daughter's pre-school graduation in June 2021 with another wholesome piece. This time, the artwork itself had a pretty special origin. "Luna drew this butterfly on me today and it seemed fitting to make permanent," she wrote on Instagram. "A little imperfect, a little messy, but hell she's here to stay."

Next, Melanie Giffith thoughtfully replaced an outdated tattoo with one that celebrates her children. The "Working Girl" star shares her oldest son Alexander, born August 1985, with ex-husband Steven Bauer, while she welcomed daughter Dakota Johnson in October 1989 with her then-spouse Don Johnson. The celeb also embraced Jesse Johnson, born December 1982, as her stepson. After marrying Antnio Banderas in 1996, the couple welcomed daughter Stella in September of that same year.

Griffith once had a heart tattoo with Banderas' first name written inside, but public appearances following their separation in June 2014 saw "The Mask of Zorro" actor's moniker mostly erased. Though it was unclear at the time if the change was due to makeup or a permanent removal process, a celebrity sighting in July 2023 revealed she had fully transformed the piece into something new.

"There is also a Bird that I share with some of my children that is personal to us," she explained. The celeb and her daughter Viv also have corresponding "Stay Gold" pieces, which they received after both working on the Broadway production of "The Outsiders." She added, "It means so much to us separately and together."

Similar to Chrissy Teigen, music icon Rihanna honored her kids by getting a drawing permanently inked. The "Don't Stop the Music" singer and her long-term partner A$AP Rocky share three kids, with the two welcoming RZA in May 2022, Riot in August 2023, and Rocki Irish in September 2025. The celebrity couple have opted to keep the lives of their children mostly private, though they occasionally share sweet family moments online.

Rihanna expanded her collection of eclectic tattoos in May 2026, as shared on the Bang Bang Tattoo Instagram page. She inked a scribbled drawing on the back of her leg, with the collection of photos showing the original craft done in colored markers alongside a smattering of "Paw Patrol" stickers. "Designed by her babies," the caption reads with a heart emoji. Given the scribbled nature of the drawing, the tattoo was definitely a little divisive among fans. Even so, the piece marks a unique ode to Rihanna's children.

Zodiac-inspired body art ranks among the most popular tattoo styles, with Jessica Alba using the motif to uniquely commemorate her children. She's the mother to three kids, whom she shares with film producer Cash Warren. The "Fantastic Four" star welcomed Honor in June 2008, Haven in August 2011, and Hayes in December 2017.

Alba took to Instagram in May 2019 to show off her newest tattoos, posing alongside artist Dr. Woo in one snapshot. A close-up shows that the actor had inked three different constellations along her forearm, with the starry groups corresponding to her children's astrological signs. In the caption, she explains that Honor is a Gemini, Haven is a Leo, and Hayes is a Capricorn, including the respective zodiac signs in emoji form. 

The trio of constellations is a sweet way to commemorate her children, but a statement she gave to E! News in 2022 potentially points to another motivation behind the ink. "I want them to be my best friend, and they want me to not be their best friend," she said, lightheartedly. "I keep trying to convince them that I'm still cool enough to want to hang out with."
