Pam Bondi Won't Ever Live Down Her Inappropriate Wedding Guest Dress

Pam Bondi has been busted for wearing black to a wedding. The attorney general decided to wear a casual black and white dress to the 2013 wedding of Karessa and Stuart Lasher. In photos shared on Instagram of the festive event, Bondi looks uncomfortably casual; and why she chose black, the color of mourning, is another dilemma.

As shared on Instagram, Bondi wore a black, knee-length dress with white straps and a white neckline to the wedding. For one, black is a controversial color choice to wear to a wedding because it's the color of mourning. Instead, acceptable shades for a wedding include pastels and floral prints, as they're festive, ceremonial colors. For those who prefer darker colors, navy and jewel tones are also acceptable. Black is low on the list of suitable tones for a wedding guest. While there are rare exceptions, like when a wedding has a dress code that specifically calls for black attire, the dreary hue is better suited to a funeral. Unfortunately, Bondi didn't get the memo and wore black. What's worse is that the white stripes along the neckline make this dress look like a tennis dress. With it looking so much like athletic leisure, Bondi's casual black dress was a big miss for a wedding ensemble.

Pam Bondi has struggled with little black dresses before

Pam Bondi has had more than one fashion faux pas when it comes to short black dresses. In August 2016, before Donald Trump became the president for his first term, Trump and Bondi walked outside before a rally at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa, Florida. Bondi wore a short, black dress with the cold shoulder style top. This fashion style, featuring exposed shoulders thanks to strategic cut-outs, was hugely popular in the 2010s. Unfortunately, the cold shoulder trend lost star power and was as out-of-style as quickly as it ascended.

There's no denying that Bondi has struggled to find the right style for her new role within Trump's inner circle. Trying to play the part, in the past, Bondi has opted for myriad unflattering pantsuits. On another occasion, Bondi wore an outfit to the White House that was ripped right out of the '70s (and not in a good way). And whether she's in the Oval Office or out at a rally, Bondi's worn several outfits that completely missed the mark, including shapeless sheath dresses and dated pearls. So her flub at the 2013 wedding was par for the course.
