Bernadette began writing in entertainment at Floor 8 and joined Nicki Swift News in February 2020, thanks to her love of celebrity news and coverage of the royal family. She was one of the pioneer writers for, covering topics like therapy, wellness, social media detoxes, and other lifestyle practices that were of personal interest to her. Bernadette received a bachelor's degree in English Literature from St. Mary's University in Calgary, Alberta. She graduated from the University of Victoria in 2014 with a master's degree in English Literature. In May 2019, she graduated from SUNY Binghamton with a PhD in English and Creative Writing.‌
