Laura Loomer's Major Makeup Fails Are Hard To Look Away From
Laura Loomer has been a major part of President Donald Trump's second administration. As a self-proclaimed white nationalist, anti-Muslim activist, and a supporter of McCarthyism-like tactics, Loomer managed to wiggle her way into the Trump 2.0 regime and, in the process, made enemies of Marjorie Taylor Greene, among others. But it's not just her politics that have proved her allegiance to all things Trump, as Loomer is also one of the many people who have jumped on the Mar-a-Lago face plastic surgery trend that, to no surprise, isn't doing her any favors. Because it's not doing anyone any favors.
But as much as Loomer's new face is the stuff of nightmares, she manages to make it worse by her onslaught of makeup fails. Similar to so many MAGA women, like Kristi Noem, Karoline Leavitt, and Lauren Boebert, who mastered the art of makeup failures that are hard to look away from, Loomer is also struggling on a daily basis to figure out how to apply makeup in a way that complements her. Or, at the very least, make it work seamlessly with her complexion and facial structure.
Instead, it seems like every time Loomer picks up any sort of makeup applicator, she closes her eyes and hopes for the best — which is definitely a technique we strongly advise against. To help you avoid looking like Laura Loomer at all costs, here are her major makeup fails that will guide you in the complete opposite direction every time you find yourself with eyeliner or a foundation brush in hand.
Loomer needs a different color eyebrow pencil
It goes without saying that eyebrows are the most difficult part of any makeup routine, because they're so important when framing the face. Because of this, many of us are probably making dozens of eyebrow mistakes, but they can be avoided. As evidenced here, not only is the shape of Laura Loomer's eyebrows too blocky, but they're also far too dark. So dark, in fact, it looks as though she used a black Sharpie instead of an eyebrow pencil to bring this look to life. Loomer may have nearly black hair, but a dark chestnut brow pencil would be a better fit.
Far too heavy-handed with the eye makeup
In January 2026, Laura Loomer attended a Road Dedication Ceremony at Mar-a-Lago and the most noticeable thing about her — and not in a good way — was all the heavy black eye makeup. We don't know what the worst part of the look is, between the aggressive black eyeliner, dark eye shadow, and thick eyelashes. Even though Loomer's eyes are open, they appear to be almost closed because it's simply too much dark makeup in one area. It's definitely a choice that's leaning into Kimberly Guilfoyle's cringey fashion and beauty trends she needs to give up, meaning Loomer needs to kick these trends to the curb, too.
Mismatched eyebrows are never a good look
Although the eyebrow blindness TikTok trend gained momentum in 2024, it wasn't anything new, nor is it something that's going away. Why? Because some people, try as they might, simply can't see that their eyebrows need some help — and Laura Loomer is one of those people. Not only are her eyebrow colors far too dark, but she can't seem to recognize that her eyebrows are completely different sizes. While the right appears to be fairly average in size, the left is much thinner from one end to the other. In fact, the difference is so obvious, it's shocking that Loomer would think posting this photo on Instagram was a good idea.
Going too pale with the foundation and looking goth in the process
While a very light shade of foundation can work well on some people, this is not the case for Laura Loomer. Since she keeps her eyebrows and hair so intensely dark, she's in desperate need of some color to prevent looking washed out. Loomer is so pale in this photo that it's hard to be sure if she's trying to bring back the emo or goth look, or if she has a bad case of the stomach flu. Even a pinch to her cheeks could have helped a bit in this situation.
Going too orange with the foundation and bronzer
While we've seen many MAGA women embrace the too-orange foundation look, as if honoring their too-orange leader, this color on Laura Loomer is diabolical — especially because her neck and hands are her natural skin tone. Although there's nothing wrong with using a darker foundation or bronzer, the key is to make sure it isn't too many shades from your skin's actual color and, of course, that it's blended in. If a bronzer is applied to the face and stops right at the jawline, leaving a bright white neck, it's such an epic makeup fail that you can't be shocked if people stare in horror.
Loomer could use a class in overlining her lips
If you've not yet mastered the art of overlining your lips to make them appear fuller, then it's easy to make a mess of things. Laura Loomer's attempt at overlining her lips isn't just uneven, but it has also created an overall sloppy look at the edges. Because the secret to the perfect overlined lip is hidden in the alphabet, Loomer may end up with better results if she gives that hack a try. It's also worth noting that laying off the thick, glossy finish when overlining one's lip can give a cleaner and smoother result.
Channeling some major circus vibes
In November 2025, Laura Loomer was pictured at an event at the Trump National Golf Club in Florida. Again, Loomer is a little too bronze-happy in the picture, but that's hardly the only issue; it's also all that blush. There are many ways to apply blush, including the easy L-shaped blush TikTok trend from 2024. However, if you want to keep things simple and traditional, blush never needs to go anywhere but on the highest point of the cheekbones, where it's then blended in to create a seamless look. But Loomer didn't do that here. Instead, her whole cheek is heavy with blush, as is her nose and forehead.
Loomer needs to stop skipping the contouring
Laura Loomer has a very round face. Like those of us with naturally round faces, sometimes we need little help in creating definition along our jawline and making our cheekbones pop. The best and easiest way to do that, which doesn't involve going under the knife, is contouring with makeup. As we saw in 2023, the vertical contouring TikTok trend helped round faces get immediately snatched. In other words, it's time for Loomer to quit ignoring the magic of contouring and get on board — stat.
Lip liner would have been good here
In 2021, Laura Loomer was escorted out an event after interrupting Jack Dorsey, Twitter's co-founder and former CEO. As a professional rabble-rouser, it's never surprising when Loomer is escorted out of anywhere; but from a fashion stance, we need to address the lipstick situation. Whenever you opt for shade of lipstick that's this light, you run the risk of it disappearing into your face, especially when you're as pale as Loomer is — when she hasn't overindulged in bronzer, that is. Because she's harassing Dorsey sans bronzer, a lip liner would have definitely come in handy, creating a definitive beginning and end to her lipstick.
