Millie Bobby Brown experimented with a gothic aesthetic at the British Academy Film Awards in 2022, but the resulting look was too disjointed to really land. The "Damsel" star wore a velvet gown consisting of a plunging neckline that revealed a bandeau-style top and an extended peplum-style skirt over feather-featuring lace. The garment also featured a cape-train hybrid made of the same lace, with the actor accessorizing with velvet gloves, a dagger-shaped necklace, and middle-parted bangs. She styled a Swayed Stature x KR tapestry top with a pair of front-seam jeans, boots, and a diamond and pearl necklace from Ben-Amun. While the ensemble definitely channels the fantastical and medieval vibes of Brown's Netflix film, it ultimately fails to merge the vintage and contemporary elements for a cohesive look. Overall, these pieces definitely have potential on their own, but would work more effectively if they were styled differently.

It's great to see the celeb embracing sexy silhouettes and edgy drama, but the stylized proportions of the gown are super distracting, giving the impression that the garment isn't fitted just right. Even so, Brown still manages to rock the look with confidence.

At a "Stranger Things" premiere afterparty, Millie Bobby Brown stepped out in another corseted look, sporting a burgundy, lace-trimmed top and matching skort from Mirror Palais to the November 2025 event. On top of that, the matching skirt is overly simple, and adding a bit of matching lace or ribbons has the potential to really tie the look together.

While some celebs are demonstrating how to ace the sheer clothing trend, Millie Bobby Brown's take on the fad left something to be desired. The British actor appeared on "The Tonight Show" in December 2025 wearing a knitted jumpsuit from Manière de Voir. The belted, tight-fitting piece provided a semi-sheer appearance while stretching all the way down to the star's pointed-toed heels. We're big fans of Brown embracing her body with figure-hugging looks, but this outfit felt like it needed another element to really round things out. For example, a statement piece of outerwear could have really elevated the high-fashion jumpsuit while bringing the look into the winter months.
