There's a lot of stigma around women growing older, with wrinkles and graying hair treated like problems to solve instead of aging milestones to celebrate. Because of this societal pressure, it's been majorly refreshing to see celebrities embrace aging with confidence. While this process can look different person to person, it's reassuring how these much-scrutinized stars have been able to accept natural signs of maturity while living life to the fullest.

Elizabeth Banks, who came into fame in the early 2000s, lands among the Hollywood figures who are aging gracefully. While the Massachusetts native is a big advocate for skincare, being an ambassador for No7 since 2023, she's also emphasized the importance of living a balanced lifestyle and maintaining confidence. In fact, her secret to looking fresh and healthy is surprisingly simple.

"Water, better nutrition, eight hours of sleep. I'm struggling [with the latter] now that school has come back," Banks, who lands among the celebs who've been honest about the career implications of motherhood, told People. "I've really come to terms with the fact that I need seven to eight hours of sleep. It affects everything about me, including the way that I look and the way my skin feels." While these might seem like really simple tips, Banks highlighted how they can truly make a big difference.

Elizabeth emphasized solid skincare and quality sleep

When discussing how she ages gracefully, Elizabeth Banks spoke highly of No7 products, with the "Hunger Games" actor joining the U.K. skincare brand as the first-ever U.S. ambassador. "The greatest thing about No7 is that you can line all the products up on the countertop, and go through them one by one," she told Elle, highlighting products like the No7 Future Renew Peptide Cleanser and the Damage Reversal Night Cream. "All of these are formulated for overnight use. They really make the most of your beauty sleep."

Banks seems well aware of the sneaky reasons why your bedtime routine isn't fostering the best sleep, as the Hollywood figure emphasized how important quality rest is to overall health and beauty. "It's all about the routine leading up to bedtime," she told Good Housekeeping. "I try to eat earlier and drink more water so that my sleep isn't disrupted by digestion and I stay hydrated." While her routine can change, she shared with Elle that she enjoys doing puzzles and listening to audiobooks as a way to unwind.

Additionally, Banks revealed that she finds just as much inspiration in celebrities who are embracing their golden years as we do. "I follow Sharon Stone and Jane Fonda on social media, and more women like that," she said to People. "I love seeing women who are vibrant, active, confident, excited, doing fun things at every age." The star seems to embrace her own aging process with a similar confidence, telling the outlet, "I am aging, and I'm happy about it."
