Best Game of Thrones Season 7 Quotes | Episode 2 'Stormborn':
If you're looking for the best Game of Thrones season 7 quotes, episode 2 'Stormborn' we've got you covered.
There were so many memorable quotes it's hard to pick just one as the best, but the scene between Lady Olenna Tyrell and Daenerys is by far the best dialogue from episode 2, perhaps the whole season as of yet...
Here Are The Best Game of Thrones Season 7 Quotes | Episode 2 'Stormborn':
After only two episodes in, Game of Thrones season 7 has seen some of the series most amazing quotes and dialogue. Not only that but this season has seen some of the subtexts from previous season finally come to life. Remember Arya's "That's not you" line and Sansa's meaningful hairstyle?
In episode 2 of season 7 Lady Olenna Tyrell also offers Daenerys some advice that sounds terribly familiar.
"Are you a sheep? No. You're a dragon. Be a dragon." - Lady Olenna Tyrell
When Daenerys and Lady Olenna's have a conversation after Tyrion lays out their battle plan: Daenerys tells the group:
"I am not here to be queen of the ashes." But then, Lady Olenna cuts in, saying, "I can't remember a queen who was better loved than my granddaughter . . . and what is left of her now? Ashes." She adds, "Commoners, nobles, they're all just children, really. They won't obey you unless they fear you."
At the end of the meeting, Daenerys then asks Lady Olenna if she can speak with her privately. When the two are in private Daenerys asks Lady Olenna what she thinks of Tyrion's battle plan and her response is foreboding advice that perhaps Daenerys should have taken.
"If you ever betray me… I’ll burn you alive" - Daenerys (To Varys)
When Varys swears his oath to Daenerys, delivers the amazing line, "If you ever betray me… I’ll burn you alive." The best part about this line is you know she will too. While Daenerys is apt to be just and give chances, she is not one to be kind when it comes to a betrayal of her trust. Can you blame her though?
“That’s not you." - Arya (To Nymeria)
In this notable scene, Arya finds herself alone in the woods surrounded by a dire-wolf pack and it looked like it might be her undoing for a moment there, but at the last second, Arya realizes that one of the dire wolves who is growling at her is Nymeria, her long-lost dire-wolf. Arya pleads with Nymeria to come home with her as the wolfs eyes soften. However, as Arya stares into Nymeria's eyes, the wolf decides to walk away after recognizing the Stark.
As Nymeria' walks away, Arya smiles and says, “That’s not you”.
This is a call back from season one when Arya's father Ned Stark told her that she will one day be a lady and get married, to which Arya replies: “No. That’s not me.”
So in this scene, Arya is realizing that her old dire-wolf Nymeria has her own life now and being her companion is not what is right for Nymeria, “That’s not you”, “No. That’s not me.” No character is better suited to understand the complexities of a calling and life path better than Arya.
