Is Jughead Dead?

After last week's episode, we've all been dying to know what happens to Jughead in the finale. While the cast has been hinting at Jug's fate all season by mentioning all the enemies he's made throughout season 2. However, we're not so sure that he's done for just yet. While we cannot confirm anything, and Cole Sprouse did send a cryptic Tweet after last week's episode, we're not sure he's leaving.

Last month, Sprouse revealed to Glamour that Betty and Jughead will end on a good note in the finale.

"They're both dealing with huge issues, massive, mind-breaking issues," Sprouse said. "I think they still try to hold on to that communication that makes them strong, and I think the end [of season two] is a good [place] for them," Sprouse said.

While Jughead's future is in danger, we wonder if his potential death is another red herring from all the clues about what happens to Archie Andrews.

The Finale Is 'Tragic'...For Archie

Little nuggets have been sprinkled all over the internet about the fate of Archie in the season 2 finale. In an interview with TV Line, KJ Apa teased tragedy coming to the series.

"It's a tragedy, really, what happens. I think the last episode, if I were to describe it in one way, it would be tragic — for one person in particular in the show, but for everyone, ultimately," Apa said.

While the cast alluded to different things, Camila Mendes revealed we should pay attention to what happens to Archie.

"It's the lead-up from everything that's been happening between Archie and Hiram, their relationship," Mendes said. "I think we're going to be worried about Archie's fate."

Excuse me? But, it gets worse.

In an interview with Glamour, Lili Reinhart repeated Mendes's claims and compared the finale to what happened in the season 1 finale where Fred Andrews was shot.

"I think you can be worried for Archie," Reinhart said. "I'm not going to say anything, but the Andrews men have it rough when it comes to season finales is what I'll say."

Now, it's official. We are scared for Archie. Will he survive season 2? Will he die? We're just going to have to wait and see. But, perhaps Reinhart is talking about the fate of Fred Andrews? So, what about Fred?

We Should Be Worried About Fred

Unfortunately, we're pretty sure that both Andrews men are in danger in the finale. Actor Luke Perry told Glamour that fans should "definitely be worried" about his character. But, we don't know much other than that.

However, in an interview with Seventeen, showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa revealed that we will find out who wins the Riverdale elections in the season 2 finale.

"We like to make sure our fans have satisfying endings," Aguirre-Sacasa said. "But there might be a cliffhanger or two as well."

Now, if you aren't panicked enough, we've got some news for you about potential comebacks in the finale and beyond.

Does Chic Return In The Season 2 Finale?

Last time we saw Chic (Hart Denton), he was run out of town or killed by the Black Hood. But, we never saw a body, so chances are, he's alive.

Luckily, we have some answers from Aguirre-Sacasa. Unfortunately, we don't know if he returns in the finale. However, we know that we will see Chic again. But, it's not all sunshine and rainbows.

"I can tell you that the Chic story is far from over," Aguirre-Sacasa told Glamour. "It's gonna get a lot more complicated and dangerous really quick."

How can it be more complicated and dangerous than murdering the Alice's son and taking his identity? How?

Speaking of taking over someone else's identity (sort of), it looks like an actor from Pretty Little Liars will be transformed into a character on Riverdale.

Pretty Little Liars Actor To Join Riverdale Cast In Season 3

While this may or may not be a spoiler for the finale episode on May 16th, this news is too big not to share.

The official Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists Twitter page revealed that someone from Rosewood was coming to Riverdale.

Honestly, we're so ready to find out which PLL character will be on Riverdale. From one hit show to another, we know it'll be interesting.

Personally, we think (hope) that it's Cody Christian, who played Mike Montgomery, or Brant Daugherty, who played Noel Kahn. But, who knows? We'll see by season 3 at the latest.

Whoever your preference, just don't get your hopes up for Lucy Hale, who played Aria Montgomery on PLL. She opened up to Twitter, stating that she won't be joining the CW series.

"Also, there's a rumor I'm joining Riverdale. Not true. Love the show, but not true," Hale said.

While we're obviously saddened by this news, we're excited to see what's coming.

Pay Attention To The Finale

Since we already know that the series is getting a third season, writers have laid down some clues for us about what's coming in the fall at the end of season 2.

"There will be definite easter eggs laid in the Season 2 finale," Aguirre-Sacasa told Seventeen.

So, it's time to sit back and pay attention. We'll be on the lookout. Will you?
