Say what?!

Neutrogena Introduces a Personalized Sheet Mask That Sounds Too Good to Be True

Neutrogena is one of the leading innovators when it comes to affordable skincare. In 2017, they released the popular Light Therapy Acne Mask. In 2018, they released their Skin 360 app, which gives the everyday consumer valuable insight into their own skin.

Now, Neutrogena is changing the game again by announcing MaskiD, a customizable and personalized 3D-printed sheet mask that you can make in the comfort of your own home.

Yes, this means that you'll soon be able to make a face mask that targets any problems areas that you might have. But, how does MaskiD work and when can you get it?

Neutrogena's MaskiD will work in conjunction with the Skin Scanner from Neutrogena's Skin 360 system.

For the masking process to work, you have to buy the skin analysis camera tool, which you can currently buy on Neutrogena's website for a hefty $59.99. Using the camera, simply snap a selfie and the seperateMaskiD asking app will work to map out your face, analyze what your skin needs, and then recommend ingredients that target your specific needs.

The MaskiD will then print out a "translucent, flexible layer that conforms to every contour of the face."

While the mask itself is made from cellulose, key ingredients are used, according to your needs. They go as follows:

  • Purified Hyaluronic Acid – Hydration, Improve Moisture Barrier
  • Vitamin B3 – Improve Discoloration, Dark Spots, Dull Skin
  • Feverfew – Reduce Redness
  • Stabilized Glucosamine – Exfoliation, Improve Fine Lines
  • Vitamin C – Encourage Healthier and Brighter Skin

While we're excited about the potential that MaskiD brings to our skincare routine, we're left wondering when and where we can buy it.

Unfortunately, MaskiD won't be available for some time and from the looks of it, you won't be able to purchase it from your local drugstore.

According to the press release, consumers can start purchasing MaskiD starting Q3, which starts on July 1, of this year on Neutrogena's website. Until then, you can sign up to get a notification when it's available for purchase.
