Fall favorites are back in Starbucks for 2018. And you know what that means, PSL lovers! Here's everything to know about your keto Pumpkin Spice Latte options.

Is There a Keto Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks?

Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice Latte was officially released today, August 28. A historical day if I do say so myself. And if you're really into the Ketogenic diet (or Keto for short), you should know that Starbucks can totally be keto friendly! But, does Starbucks have a keto Pumpkin Spice Latte drink? Or is the Skinn Pumpkin Spice Latte the best that we can do?

About to turn 15 years old in 2018, the PSL is Starbucks' iconic fall drink, becoming the company's top-selling seasonal beverage of all time. And for good reason. I mean, have you tried it? If the answer is no, you have some explaining to do. If the answer is no and you're on the high-fat, low-carb diet, then we have some news for you.

Unfortunately, it looks like that news is bad news.

The PSL is made with pumpkin spice sauce, espresso, milk, vanilla syrup, whipped cream, and pumpkin spice topping. The keto diet basically requires no intake of any sugar, so you can't really get the Starbucks signature drink with 0 sugar. It's just not how it's done.

However, we do have some good news if you're willing to sacrifice a few things and customize your drink a little bit to your nutrition preferences. So, while you can't quite get a purely keto PSL from Starbucks, you can change a few things to make the drink healthier.

We recently reached out to Starbucks, and here are a few suggestions according to a representative.

And if anyone was wondering, we also asked if Starbucks was planning on making a keto PSL drink anytime soon, and it looks like a no as of now.

Anyways, here are some ways to make your pumpkin spice drinks healthier and more keto-friendly:

• Substitute milk for 2% milk, nonfat milk, soy milk, coconut milk, or almond milk

• Ask for fewer pumps of syrup

• Choose a sugar-free syrup like vanilla, cinnamon dolce, or skinny mocha sauce

• Try a sweetener substitute and ask for "less whip" or "no whip"
