Grey's Anatomy Season 15 Episode 4 Recap: 'Momma Knows Best'
Grey's Anatomy Season 15 Episode 4 Recap
How are you feeling after that episode, Grey's Anatomy fans? We are honestly reeling from the last ten minutes of part one of the two-hour crossover event with Station 19 and we can't wait until next Thursday to watch how everything unfolds. Ready to hear our thoughts on what happened tonight on our "Momma Knows Best" recap? Get ready. Because you're about to get an earful.
1. When Everyone Saw How Hot Single Meredith Was
Did anyone else laugh when legit everyone noticed how amazing Meredith Grey looked before her date? From Link (Atticus Lincoln) to Taryn Helm to Andrew DeLuca, we love Single Meredith and so does everyone else at Grey Sloan, apparently.
2. Because She Was Going On A DATE
Yes, our girl is finally ready to get out there! And while we are in full support of Mer dating again, we loved when Maggie, Amelia, and Alex teased her about it. It was nice little nugget of joy that reminded us why we love Grey's in the first place.
3. With TED MOSBY
Yes, if you didn't already know from our article from yesterday, you were probably floored when Meredith went on a blind date with How I Met Your Mother's Ted Mosby. We were surprised by how charming and funny he was on Grey's, but granted, he was playing a different character. And we were happy that they hit it off. That is, until he screwed up.
4. And OF COURSE He Screwed It Up
We knew it was too good to be true. This season is all about Single Mer. We know she's dating, so there was no way that her first date was going to be The One. So, of course, he had to say the one thing that would inevitably be a dealbreaker. But, hey. That's dating.
5. Happy Crossover, Baby!
We've been so wound up in Meredith's new love life that we completely forgot about the crossover with Station 19! While we were kind of disappointed that the characters didn't interact as much as they have in the past, we were happy with our guests, as always.
Honestly, who didn't love that moment when Andy Herrera gave Meredith some advice? And also that tension building with Ben Warren and Miranda Bailey? We loved it.
6. The Second Dean Fell In Love With Maggie
The greatest thing that came from the crossover was when Dean Miller met Maggie Piece. Dean managed to see so much light in Maggie, which is something that Maggie herself doesn't even see. Their relationship was expanded in part two of the crossover, but unfortunately, Maggie shot him down in the end. However, not before giving us a few more cute and awkward moments that seriously left our hearts on the table. And to be honest, Jackson who?
7. And When We Remembered Jackson Was Missing
Speaking of Jackson, where is he? Maggie deserves better. And so do we! We know he's on some sort of...religious journey, but for more than one episode? Unacceptable. We need Jackson back ASAP and we refuse to calm down until he returns safely. But, something tells us that nothing will be the same when he does.
8. When Grey's Pointed Out How Crap Our Healthcare System Is
Alex Karev's entire storyline with the kid and his pulmonary bleb makes it blatantly obvious that there's something wrong with the American healthcare system. When you have a kid who is willing to sacrifice his health and life to avoid paying insane amounts of money for surgery even though he has health insurance, it is a problem. And yes, out of all the things that happen on Grey's, this is the scariest. Because it's very real.
9. How Does Jo Know Link??
Uh oh. We smell trouble in paradise! It looks like Jo and Link know each other and from the way they hugged, they're pretty close. If you were paying attention, you would have noticed that Link called her "Brooke" instead of "Jo", meaning that he knew her before she ran from her abusive husband, Paul. So, where will this lead? We're going to have to wait and see!
10. BOOM THERE IT IS. Maggie Told Meredith About Teddy.
The cat's out of the bag! We can finally move this storyline forward. Maggie broke doctor-patient confidentiality and told Meredith that Teddy is pregnant with Owen's baby. Since we know that Teddy is coming back next week, who knows what's next. While we knew this was coming eventually, we were still stunned at the end of the episode.
Are you excited for next week, Grey's Anatomy fans?
