They BETTER NOT kill off Catherine Avery!

You Will Cry in the Next Episode of Grey's Anatomy

Are you ready to sob this Thursday, Grey's Anatomy fans?

Next week's episode, titled "The Winner Takes It All" will feature Catherine Avery's (Debbie Allen) surgery and if there's anything we can take from the season 15 episode 12 trailer, it's that we are in for a good cry.

How will our favorite Grey Sloan doctors hold up? How will Richard (James Pickens Jr.) and Jackson (Jesse Williams) stay strong and will Catherine make it through at the end of the episode?

It's all on the line and we aren't sure if we have the heart to watch. But, if you want to prepare for the emotional rollercoaster that's about to ensue on Grey's on Jan. 31, then keep on reading. We're about to dive into the promo to see if there are any clues that you might have missed.

Grey's Anatomy Season 15 Episode 11 Trailer Breakdown

Can't handle watching the trailer? We don't blame you. It's hard to watch. So here's our breakdown of the trailer, which might make the blow just a little easier.

Catherine Asks for Support

The trailer starts right on cue with a heartbreaking song and Catherine asking for Jackson and Richard to support her during this difficult time.

"I have cancer," Catherine says. "I appreciate you wanting to be apart of this. I need you to be my husband and my son."

"That's a deal," Jackson replies as the trailer jumps to a clip of Jackson making a pinky promise with Catherine before she goes into surgery.

Right in the feels.

The Doctors Could Do Something That Causes Catherine Her Life

In a dramatic turn, the trailer then jumps to a clip of Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) yelling at someone.

"If we keep going, we cause Catherine her life," Amelia exclaims, as the trailer ends with clips of Richard in the gallery with a panic-stricken look on his face and Jackson breaking down in tears with Maggie (Kelly McCreary)

Clearly, there is a disagreement between doctors in the operating room. We don't know who Amelia was yelling at or why, but we know it can't be good.

And while we're sure (and hope) that the clips of Jackson and Richard are just edited to look like something bad happened to Catherine, we know that she's not out of the woods just yet.

Richard Has Some Words for Meredith

Midway through the trailer, we see a moment doesn't seem entirely tied to Catherine's storyline.

Richard dramatically turns away from Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) in Grey Sloan Memorial. While we're hoping that it has nothing to do with Catherine, we suspect it has something to do with Thatcher (Jeff Perry).

Earlier in the season, Richard told Meredith that her father wasn't doing well. As in, he didn't have long to live and Richard suggested that she go see him soon. It looks like Meredith is wearing the same outfit she wore in the midseason premiere preview and in photos from this week's episode when Thatcher makes his return to the medical drama.

So, our guess? Richard is now telling Meredith to visit her father on his deathbed.
