Mel is a travel and lifestyle writer. In her early career years, she worked as a gifting expert and traveled as a curated experiences professional. She ultimately brought together the intersection of immersive experiences and culture — and channeled that into writing a newspaper column. She now travels the globe to experience new cultures, fashion, and foods – always returning home, excited to find new beauty product launch and runway show invites in her inbox. Her work can be seen in New York Lifestyles Magazine, Thrillist, Insider, Paste Magazine, Explore, and Wealth of Geeks.
Education
In 2017, Mel returned to college with a concentration in food and culture journalism. During her tenure at UMass Amherst, Mel was a member of Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor's Society. She won the UMass Presidential Jack Wilson Scholarship and the Amherst Alumni Association Senior Leadership Award. She graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA.
