Audrey Hepburn was one of the most famous actresses during the Golden Age of Hollywood. Born May 4, 1929 in Belgium, Hepburn started studying ballet at a young age and eventually made her way to Broadway. She had a handful of minor film roles before getting her big break came when she starred along side Gregory Peck in "Roman Holiday." The film made Hepburn the first actresses in history to win an Oscar, a Golden Globe and BAFTA Award for a single performance. Other classic Hepburn movies include "Breakfast at Tiffany's," "My Fair Lady," "Charade," "The Children's Hour," "How to Steal a Million, "Paris When It Sizzles," "War and Peace," "Love in the Afternoon" and "Sabrina" co-starring Humphrey Bogart and William Holden. Hepburn only won one Academy Award but earned an additional four nominations for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Along with her successful movie career, Hepburn was a fashion icon and became an active humanitarian in the 1980s. In 1993, she won the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.
