Congresswoman Stephanie Murphy Is A Champion For Immigration
Murphy immigrated to the U.S. when she was just one year old.
Stephanie Murphy is the first Vietnamese-American woman (and the second Vietnamese person) elected to Congress. The daughter of Vietnamese refugees, she and her family immigrated to the United States when she was just one year old.
Murphy previously joined the Department of Defense, working as a national security specialist in an effort to protect the country that rescued her family years ago.
As a former national security specialist, Stephanie has a unique insight on the need to secure our borders and deport those who threaten public safety while still treating all undocumented immigrants with respect. She strongly believes in establishing an easier, more efficient path to obtaining visas, naturalization, and citizenship.
She wants to reform our immigration system to keep families together and encourage economic development in America.
