It looks like Mariah Carey's Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour is not panning out like she had originally planned.
Earlier today, it was confirmed that Carey has canceled several shows for her Latin America tour. E! News confirmed that promoter negligence is the cause behind her canceling several show dates in Brazil, Argentina and Chile.
In a statement to E! News, Carey reached out to her fans saying: "To all of my lambs in South America, I am devastated that a portion of this tour had to be cancelled. Thank you for all of the excitement and love—I hope to see you soon, my darlings!"
Fortunately for fans, they will be able to obtain a full refund. It is still misunderstood why the shows had to be cancelled entirely, given that the ticket sales have been quite a success. For the fans who were waiting to see a once-in-a-lifetime performance from Carey, they'll have to catch her on one of her other stops in Mexico City or Monterrey. Thankfully, those shows are still on the schedule.
Since the tour was announced this past summer, Latin Americans have flocked to ticketing sites to purchase seats for the Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour. They were so excited to see her perform her greatest hits in their home countries.
Luckily for the United states, fans will still be able to see the "Fantasy" singer nationwide with shows all the way from New York to Hawaii. Additionally, she will perform in Las Vegas next spring at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
