It's not rare that we hear the message from celebs that not everything we see/read/watch on the internet or on TV is the truth. And social media is no different. Scrolling through our Instagram feeds doesn't necessarily help us see the light on that though. We see people with better bodies than we do, happier smiles, cooler jobs and lifestyles.
Austrian-born but London-based model Jazz Egger proved to us this week that even #beautifulpeople get torn apart in the comments after she decided to reveal the truth behind some of the 'perfect' shots she posts on her Instagram account.
Using the hashtag #TruthBehindThisShot, Jazz re-captioned quite a few of her Instagram pictures to reveal what happened before and after they were being taken. As well as revealed notes on post-production editing, and what was going through her head while she was posting them
In one, for example, where Jazz can be seen posing with another model during London Fashion Week, she wrote: "#truthbehindthisshot I didn't sleep much the night before bc fashionweek is pure madness. + I didn't eat/drink salt, sugar, fat and alcohol for months to prevent my skin from breaking out. Didn't work. Makeup artists covered it up."
In another, she admits to photoshopping her own teeth because "they're usually uneven and I felt it's distracting."
Here's some more examples of Jazz's #realtalk:
Fingers crossed Jazz's hashtag encourages celebs to be more honest with themselves and their followers.
