Donning a white hat, blue pants, and a kimono wrap top, Newmar posed in her garden, cheekily writing in the caption that she was looking to hire a gardener. Clearly, she has aged well, looking 20 years younger than her 93 years. "Julie, you are the most beautiful flower in the garden," commented an Instagram user alongside a heart emoji, and we cannot help but agree. She herself seeks that beauty, telling The Guardian in 2026, "I would say my life is about beauty. I want to be a beautiful old woman; beauty in the garden; beauty in your behaviour, in your treatment of others."
Julie Newmar lays out her beauty secrets
Julie Newmar was one of the most attractive women of her generation, so it's not surprising that she has always taken great care of herself. In an exclusive interview with Lydia Lane back in 1959, Newmar didn't talk about what steps she did or products she used to take care of her skin. Instead, she emphasized her diet and healthy, clean eating. "Every morning I have nine carrots, six stalks from a bunch of celery, one cucumber, a handful of spinach, a whole green pepper, one beet, some cabbage, a lemon and a little salt," Newmar exclusively shared with Lane.
Her take on healthy eating was inspired by her mother, who she revealed was part of the Broadway musical "Ziegfeld Follies." "She was a 'Ziegfeld Follies' girl and she has never lost her figure," Newmar detailed proudly to Lane. "She exercises every day and has a swim if possible and always eats nutritional food." And it seems Newmar's mother was a beauty blueprint worth following, considering how gracefully Newmar herself has aged. Evidently, Newmar could be considered one of the celebs confronting aging with confidence, setting an example for other Hollywood veterans to follow.
