BFFs Madonna & Debi Mazar Have Evolved Together During Their Decades-Long Friendship

Hollywood has been home to some scandalous relationships in the past, but it has also seen the start of some truly heartwarming friendships. Similar to how Lindsay Lohan and Ayesha Curry have one of the sweetest lowkey friendships in Hollywood, pop legend Madonna and actor Debi Mazar have had a friendship for the ages. The pair's close-knit bond began way before either woman achieved success in their respective careers, all the way back in the 1980s at a New York City nightclub. 

Mazar freelanced as a makeup artist before making it big and helped Madonna out with her makeup whenever she needed help. And years on, it's evident that their relationship is just as tight and enduring as ever as both women got what they wanted out of their careers. Madonna reached stratospheric heights with hits like "Vogue" and "Like A Virgin," while Mazar scored big with "Goodfellas" and "Entourage." "She inspires me," Mazar exclusively shared with People about Madonna. "She's relentlessly creative and smart. I'm always happy for her." And it seems Mazar is telling the truth, as she showed up in support at Madonna's "Club Confessions" in Paris in this June 2026 Instagram post, where she congratulated her good friend.

As the world takes notice of Hollywood's plastic surgery and Ozempic craze that was on full display at the 2026 Grammys, it comes as no surprise that Madonna's looks are being nitpicked. Although the global superstar has never publicly admitted to having surgeries, insiders close to the "4 Minutes" singer have implied that the star has gone under the knife. And netizens aren't afraid of making their less-than-positive opinions of Madonna's appearance known, but Mazar isn't going to let all this negativity and slander fly about her "dear friend." 

"I think Madonna is beautiful and I don't pay attention to what people say about me or about anybody," Mazar bluntly told Page Six. She then added that netizens will always have something to say about everything, and that the best strategy is to just ignore all of it. And it seems to be something Madonna herself has taken into account, as the famous vocalist is enjoying her life with athlete boyfriend Akeem Morris, and not caring about the naysayers.
