Blythe Danner's Granddaughter Has Grown Up To Be Stunning

Blythe Danner is famously known for many things; of course, her illustrious, award-winning acting career, being an environmental activist, and as the mother of Oscar-winning actor Gwyneth Paltrow. But little does anyone know, she has a granddaughter who not only looks like her but also wants to join the family acting dynasty, now that she's all grown up and just happens to be a stunner.

Apple Martin, born in May 2004, is the daughter of Paltrow and "Coldplay" lead vocalist Chris Martin. Fans back then will remember just how much of a ruckus the celebrity couple caused when they announced the quirky and unusual name of their newborn. Apple instantly became the subject of public fascination and one of the most-searched celebrity children in Hollywood. As the media storm settled over the years, Apple grew up away from the limelight, only making the occasional appearance on her mom's social media page.

Now that Apple has graduated from Vanderbilt University, she's prepared to take on the world. Bearing her grandmother's famous good looks and her mother's statuesque physique, it was only natural that her first stop was launching a modeling career. In 2025, she became a brand ambassador and the face of the London-based fashion label Self-Portrait, as well as the face of the GapStudio Fall/Winter 2025 collection, alongside her mother. Not to mention starring in Chloé's 2026 campaign for Chloé à la Plage. But that's not all Apple has up her sleeve. The young up-and-comer has her sights set on following in her grandmother and mother's footsteps. "My dream is to act," she told Vogue in February 2026 of what's in store for her next.

Like these '80s and '90s supermodels and their gorgeous look-alike daughters, many have long associated Apple's physical appearance with her mother Gwyneth Paltrow; the blond hair, slender silhouette, and graceful elegance are sure giveaways. But at a close glance, she also shares a striking resemblance with her grandmother, Blythe Danner. In side-by-side photos of the two, it becomes pretty clear just how much they have in common. Danner and Apple have the same piercing gaze carried by their arresting bright blue eyes, and also share similar looking eyebrows, nose, and chin. Below, Apple is photographed during the Chloé 2026 campaign at 22 years old, while the picture of Danner is from 1997, where she was in costume for the 1998 film "The Proposition," when she was 54 years old.

The fact is, both Paltrow and Apple do look a lot like Danner. When photographed together, it's easy to see how Danner's good looks run in the family. In a gorgeous, multigenerational photo of the three, shared by journalist Derek Blasberg on Instagram in 2019 (above), fans instantly pointed out Blythe's strong matriarchal genes. "Strong genes of beautiful women," one follower noted. Another agreed, "Awww how beautiful. Strong DNA."

Many also couldn't help but notice how closely Apple resembled Blythe. "I think she looks like her gorgeous grandma whom I grew up with," one person commented on the post. Another wrote, "Apple is Identical to her beautiful grandmother."
