MUA Laura Geller's '3 E's' Trick Is The Perfect Advice For Applying Makeup To Mature Eyes

In an exclusive interview with Yahoo Shopping, Geller unveils her secret to resolving this issue successfully. "When it comes to aging eyes, always remember my '3 Es' trick — meaning, eyeliner, eyelashes and eyebrows," Geller shared with the publication. "A defined brow frames the face, tight eyeliner along the upper lash line brings back definition in the eye area that often gets lost with age, and mascara opens everything up." In a rapid-fire questions session with Shop Today on Instagram, Geller revealed that what works when you're in your 20s would not work once you hit your 50s. "Too much powder," the businesswoman candidly shared with the camera, "So if you're very dry, if you have mature skin, maybe you have fine lines ... you may want to think about switching over to more hydrating and creamier products."

Instead of using powder, Geller recommended another makeup product for people with mature skin that would suit their skin better. "Primer, primer, primer!" Geller asserted exclusively to Prevention, before continuing, "It's essential for keeping your foundation from separating or settling into fine lines or wrinkles." And, based on issues like dehydration that mature skin regularly faces, the best primers for dry skin would also fit the needs of aging skin.
