General Hospital Star Rebecca Herbst Is Aging Like Fine Wine & These Pics Prove It
Rebecca Herbst is a soap opera icon, achieving fame on hit show "General Hospital" as Elizabeth Webber. She has been a show regular since 1997 and we have seen Herbst age gracefully before our eyes ever since. Similar to how fellow "General Hospital" co-star Kate Mansi has had a gorgeous transformation, Herbst has undoubtedly been aging like fine wine as well. In fact, it feels as though there's hardly any change since she first showed up on the scene.
As seen in a "General Hospital" episode from 2026 (shown in the image above), Herbst still looks as stunning as ever. Although there are slight fine lines around her mouth and neck, the soap opera veteran has hardly any wrinkles on her forehead. In short, Herbst looks younger than her actual age (she turned 49 in 2026) and it doesn't appear as though she's gone under the knife. In addition, it seems the star is well aware that fans are taking note of her approach to aging. But while she feels "a lot of pressure" to keep maintaining her appearance, Herbst is more than happy at what she hears from fans. "I am always so flattered that people think that [I never age] and when they call me a vampire? I love that!" Herbst exclusively shared with Soap Opera Digest.
Rebecca Herbst doesn't play around when it comes to skincare
Rebecca Herbst is well aware that maintaining your appearance for the cameras takes discipline and perseverance. And as she gets older, Herbst is well-prepared and will no doubt adjust her skincare routine to cater to maturing skin. In an exclusive interview with Soap Opera Digest, the seasoned actor revealed that she never forgets to apply sunscreen at the end of her morning routine. She also added that she combines her sunscreen with an antioxidant serum, which is known to provide an extra powerful shield from environmental stressors, compared to just using sunscreen alone.
But Herbst doesn't simply rely on sunscreen to take care of her skin. The "Space Cases" star admitted that she is a fervent believer in using retinol to combat the signs of aging. "Adding retinol is a big deal when you start to age," Herbst told the publication, "it helps your cells turn over, so it helps with fine lines and wrinkles." And for some extra TLC, the star revealed that she likes to get lasers every now and then to diminish the appearance of age spots. Based on the image of Herbst above from 2024 and the previous image from "General Hospital," her efforts are paying off magnificently.
