Taylor Swift's Ultimate BFF Has A Fashion Mishap At Her Wedding So Relatable It Hurts

Abigail Anderson, long-time best friend of Taylor Swift, was a prominent face at the wedding of the year. As Swift and Travis Kelce tied the knot at Madison Square Garden on July 3, 2026, Anderson was spotted dressed to the nines to celebrate the nuptials of her bestie. Anderson stepped out of her Manhattan hotel on her way to the wedding wearing the gorgeous brown strapless Frances gown by Sau Lee. The sumptuous dress retails for $795 and cuts a dramatic silhouette with a boned bodice and a chocolate brown satin skirt. Unfortunately, another guest had the same idea.

Laura Kruk, who is engaged to New York Giants wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, headed to Madison Square Garden for the wedding in the exact same gown. Obviously, both women have great taste, but wearing the same dress clearly put a kink in their hopes to stand out on the big day. Though it's worth pointing out that Swift's wedding was a star-studded affair, so it's not like Anderson was the only guest there. Long-time pal Selena Gomez was the ultimate wedding guest style inspo at Swift's rehearsal dinner. And of course, Swift herself was the star of the show. So Anderson can breathe a sigh of relief. 

Abigail Anderson and Taylor Swift became friends in high school when they both attended Hendersonville High School in Tennessee. They became fast friends, and Anderson has been Swift's champion and pal ever since. Anderson got a shoutout in Swift's song "Fifteen" and made an appearance in her documentary, "Miss Americana." When Swift and Travis Kelce began dating, Anderson and her husband, Charles Berard, went on a double date with the famous couple.

With all of that in their friendship history, it seemed plausible that Anderson might be one of Swift's bridesmaids, if not her maid of honor. However, Anderson emerged alone from her hotel ready for the wedding, pointing to the fact that she didn't get ready with Swift. Anderson's accidental dress match with Laura Kruk offered another clue that she likely was not a bridesmaid. There was a lot of speculation around who would serve that role amongst Swift's friends. Some figures got nixed. Considering how many red flags there are in Swift and Blake Lively's friendship, she seemed an unlikely candidate, and reportedly didn't even attend the event. 

As it turned out, Swift eliminated the difficult bridesmaids decision altogether by opting to have none at all, according to People. Anderson would have had an excuse to match some of her fellow wedding guests had she been a member of a wedding party, but without one, at least she looked radiant and so happy for her friend.
