Melanie Griffith Was 'Stuck' In Her Marriage & Has Been Living Differently Since Her Split

Melanie Griffith is a known name in the Hollywood scene, with a film career that started in the late '60s. Yet similar to how her daughter Dakota Johnson can't escape rumors about her love life, Griffith's love life has also drawn attention due to the notable actors she's been associated with. One actor in particular was Hollywood heavyweight Antonio Banderas, she was married to from 1996 to 2015.

In an exclusive interview with Porter magazine, Griffith reflected on her marriage to Banderas and the reasons why it didn't end up lasting. While Griffith didn't reveal what fault lies on Banderas' part, she wasn't afraid to unveil what she did wrong. "I think part of the reason my marriage to Antonio fell apart was because I was stuck," Griffith informed the publication, per ABC News. "Nobody else is to blame. It's just that I personally got stuck, and I won't let that happen again." After the split, Griffith took a break from dating and focused on just enjoying her life. But it seems marriage is no longer in the cards for her.

Melanie Griffith isn't looking to get married again

With her four previous marriages ending in divorce, it comes as no surprise that Melanie Griffith isn't so eager to rush in front of an altar again. And while she hasn't written off the possibility of finding love again, for Griffith, marriage is no longer necessary in that equation. In fact, the "Two Much" star firmly believes that marriage is something that no longer applies to society in general. "I really don't think it's relevant for anyone anymore," Griffith exclusively shared with InStyle, per Fox News, "But especially if you're 60 and you have four kids, and you're living the life you've always wanted. Then why get married?"

It seemed Griffith had followed our best tips for getting back into dating after a divorce, as she revealed during the interview that she eventually found her way back to dating again. While they have only been casual romances, the "Something Wild" star stated that she's still holding out hope for a serious relationship. But Griffith is totally confident she will find someone one day who'll complete her. "I think I can find someone on my own," the lauded veteran actor told InStyle, before jokingly adding, "But if you know of anybody, please tell me."
