Zendaya Proved You Can Be Chic And Comfortable With Her Latest Method Dressing Moment
If you think method dressing requires complicated cosplay, think again. Or just asking Zendaya. The actor proved that red carpet events can be simple and comfy occasions, too. While attending a photo call for "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" along with Tom Holland in Paris, France on June 24, she stepped out in an oversized black t-shirt featuring a red image of a crouching Spider Man. She let the comfy ensemble do the talking, pairing the comic-book themed top with nothing else save for a pair of white, Christian Louboutin heels. The shirt was a further example of the many times that Zendaya has nailed trends while staying true to her edgy style. In this case, the trend was the no-pants vibe.
Zendaya's incredible t-shirt actually had humble origins. Her stylist, Law Roach, shared on Instagram stories that the piece came from eBay. It was a vintage Marvel men's shirt in 2XL from the Y2K era and sold for $34.99. Roach added in the caption: "Style doesn't always have to cost a fortune @ebay." She kept the rest of her look simple, with a soft, wavy hairdo; one that was arguably so flattering it would easily count among Zendaya's most gorgeous hair looks. Her makeup was minimal, with a hint of gloss and a healthy flush of blush. The focus, clearly, was on the fun t-shirt styled as a mini-dress.
Zendaya has leaned heavily into the Spider Man theme of late
When Zendaya's on a press tour, our girl gets into the theme. There has been no shortage of spider-related outfits while she and Tom Holland have been working audiences as they promote "Spider-Man: Brand New Day." On June 23, 2026 at the Ponte Sant'Angelo in Rome, Zendaya wore an archival brown Giorgio Armani Spring/Summer gown from 1990, featuring spider-web beading. After a quick stop in Paris, where Zendaya wore the awesome vintage t-shirt from eBay, she and Holland hopped over to London. For the photo call, Zendaya wore a vintage, navy dress by John Galliano featuring midnight blue detailing and a spider web necklace along her back. Stylist Law Roach captured this delicate detailing on Instagram and joked, "Don't threaten me with a theme."
Zendaya and Roach are an unstoppable force when it comes to red carpet attire. Their imaginative styling frequently gives a nod to the film itself, playing nicely with details from the movie as fans rave over the hints. Zendaya suffered a rare miss at CinemaCon 2026 with her sand suit, an obvious reference to "Dune." But this miss was a one-off. Zendaya typically nails it, and her "Spider Man" looks have proven this fact.
