Jelly Roll's Only Daughter Bailee Ann Is All Grown Up. See Her Gorgeous Evolution

Bailee Ann DeFord, who describes herself in her Instagram bio as a "Boss baby," "musician," "Gemini," "makeup artist," and "fashionista," is all grown up. DeFord has lived a lot of her life in the spotlight thanks to her dad Jelly Roll and stepmom Bunnie Xo's fame, with her proud parents regularly sharing her big milestones with fans. And that's included plenty of sweet messages over the years. "Some people were born to walk. Some people were born to run, but very few were born to fly... [You] Bailee Ann were born to FLY!" the proud Jelly Roll gushed on Instagram in 2026 in celebration of her 18th birthday.

But despite growing up in the spotlight, DeFord couldn't be further from a spoiled nepo baby. Her tough upbringing is no secret, and she's regularly experimented with her look in fun and exciting ways that promote self-expression. DeFord's life and look evolution into a smart and stunning young woman is truly gorgeous.

2008: Bailee Ann DeFord was born while Jelly Roll was in prison

Bailee Ann DeFord didn't have the most conventional start to life. She was born while her dad was behind bars for aggravated robbery. Jelly Roll told Billboard that becoming a dad inspired him to change his life for the better, and he met DeFord for the first time when she was 2 years old. "I barely got to see her in the early years because I was traveling so much. I was a very less-than-present father. Not to mention, I was drinking myself to sleep every night," he recalled on the documentary "Jelly Roll: Save Me" (via Hollywood Life).

Also in the documentary, DeFord recalled how tough it was spending her early years with her mom, Felicia Beckwith, who experienced addiction, before Jelly Roll was granted custody. "I had an extra, interesting, traumatic childhood," DeFord said. "As a teenager, I've moved on. I've worked through my childhood. But that doesn't make it go away. It made me who I am today," she added.

2018: The youngster developed a penchant for softball and duetted with her dad

Bailee Ann DeFord was a sporty youngster. In 2018, she shared a series of photos of her YMCA of Middle Tennessee softball team on Instagram. "I always thought it was better to work alone than with my friends. I never thought I could ever work on a team. These girls changed me," she sweetly captioned the snaps, sharing that her dad had been involved in her softball journey. The following year, Jelly Roll confirmed on Facebook that the super smart youngster had graduated from elementary school with straight As.

But it wasn't just sports DeFord was interested in. In 2020, she proved music was in her blood when she teamed up with her dad. The two recorded the song "Tears Could Talk" and recorded a music video for the track, which was featured on his album "A Beautiful Disaster." After the music video reached more than 1 million views on YouTube, Jelly Roll wrote on Facebook, "This is a daddy and daughter memory that will last forever." In another Facebook post, the musician confirmed DeFord had written her own verse on the track.

DeFord did some experimenting with her look amid worldwide COVID-19 lockdowns. The youngster had previously worn chestnut red locks but showed off a dirty blond hue on Instagram in October 2020. "Definitely a glow up. You look so grown up now," one Instagram user commented on the upload. "I almost didn't recognize you!! You have turned into a Beautiful young woman!!" another comment read.

2022: The teenager stepped into the spotlight and got candid about her highs and lows

Though life seemed rosy for Bailee Ann DeFord, she made it clear she'd continued to be honest about the reality of her life on social media. In a very candid early 2022 Instagram post, DeFord shared her highs and lows of the year. "I had a rocky relationship with my mother(which we are working on), went through my first Heartbreak, and dealt with some Mental Health issues. I'm working to better all of this, and that's all I can hope for in 2022," she wrote.

DeFord had become accustomed to the stage amid her daddy/daughter duet. That same year, she made headlines for stepping into the spotlight alongside her dad as she joined Jelly Roll on stage for a duet of "Tears Could Talk" during a Houston gig. The two would go on to perform the song together on multiple other stages over the years.

Not only was the teen showing off her musical talent, but she was also experimenting more with her look. That same year, she shared an Instagram snap of herself having fun at Disneyland in a white crop top and daisy dukes — but her blond locks were nowhere to be seen. Instead, the young teen rocked black locks with bold pink streaks that framed her face. Pink hair is a total power move, and may have demonstrated DeFord's growing confidence and unique style. By the time her eighth grade dance rolled around that April, though, DeFord had dyed her locks a rich chocolate brown as she continued to find herself and her aesthetic. "I am so happy to be so close to ending middle school! My last hurrah before finals and graduation," she captioned an Instagram clip showing her new 'do.

2023: She showed Bunnie Xo's influence on her style and shared plans to head to college

Bunnie Xo's influence on Bailee Ann DeFord's style was obvious in early 2023. DeFord shared a series of Instagram photos with her then-stepmom in celebration of her birthday. She wore a very Bunnie Xo-esque outfit, including leather-look pants, a black top, and statement-making tan, nude boots. The look appeared to be inspired by Bunnie Xo's penchant for nailing trends while staying true to her style.

The following year, DeFord was preparing for an exciting new life stage — heading to college! She appeared on Bunnie Xo's "Dumb Blonde" podcast and shared that she wanted to study criminal defense at Columbia Law School. DeFord revealed she had a particular interest in narcotics cases, which may have been inspired by her mom and dad's history with drugs (in addition to her mom's addiction, Jelly Roll previously sold drugs and has publicly supported anti-fentanyl legislation). "Whatever field I get into, I'm ready to turn it upside down," DeFord said, but confirmed she had no plans to go into music like her dad.

In 2025, Bunnie Xo revealed just how grown-p DeFord had become. The podcaster revealed in a TikTok video that her then-step daughter was preparing for heru first date on Valentine's Day. Bunnie Xo filmed an excited DeFord descending the staircase in a red crop top and blue jeans. But the year, unfortunately, didn't only bring excitement to DeFord's life. Speaking on "The Pivot" podcast, Jelly Roll got emotional as he shared his daughter's reaction to seeing her mom had returned to prison on drug offenses. "It's truly affected her life," he said.

2026: Bailee Ann DeFord was crowned prom queen and graduated high school

2026 was a major year for Bailee Ann DeFord. That May, she turned 18 on the same day she graduated from high school. "You are kind, smart, caring, loving, adventurous, funny, sassy, honest. To put it plainly, you were everything I have never been," Jelly Roll wrote in a touching Instagram post, confirming DeFord was going to college. That came just days after Jelly Roll confirmed via Instagram Stories that his popular daughter had been crowned prom queen.

But 2026 wasn't just a big year for DeFord's education. Though she had no plans to embark on a serious music career, that didn't stop her from hitting the stage. On June 13, she surprised her dad during a Michigan concert for a performance of Green Day's "Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)." "I thought she was still in Europe, y'all," the clearly shocked dad told fans in a TikTok video. The move may have been a show of support, as, just two days later, news broke that he had filed for divorce, amid Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo's relationship red flags. And DeFord had something to say about the split.

The 18-year-old spoke out in a since-deleted TikTok video. "I am disgusted at how invested everyone is in a very clearly private family matter," she said (via People). The teen added, "Worry bout your house- not mine. I'm not speaking on it – yet." Though it was all change for DeFord as she prepared for her formative college days, the resilience she's shown throughout her life will no doubt continue to carry her through her stunning, ongoing transformation.
