Salma Hayek has been a long-time staple on the silver screen, and now, the Primetime Emmy nominee has taken a firm stance against the unrealistic beauty standards of Hollywood. The "Puss In Boots" actor is considered one of the older celebs that aren't playing by society's beauty rules, and we love her all the more for it. Just like fellow veteran actor Jamie Lee Curtis, who gave up on hiding her gray hair, Hayek isn't shy about letting her silver locks show as well. Hayek drew eyes on the red carpet for the 12th Breakthrough Prize Ceremony, and not only because of the form-fitting black, sequined Gucci dress she had on. The "Desperado" actor wore her hair in an updo that fearlessly showcased her graying hair. It makes you wonder if this was deliberate, because if so, it's a tasteful way of sending a message regarding the pressures of being a woman in Hollywood. And it seems Hayek has never minded her graying hair, wearing it out and letting her natural color shine since 2020. Moreover, the star has also extended her courageous hair philosophy to her beauty routine, showing that she's all for going against the grain and being as natural as possible.

Salma Hayek is going about things her own way, especially when it comes to beauty. The "Tale of Tales" star was featured in a segment of Vogue Beauty Secrets, where she covered everything from her skincare regimen to what she uses for makeup and hair. Hayek remained transparent about the products she uses, stating that getting older forced her to change up everything in her routine, which aligns with what we said about adjusting your skincare routine to cater to mature skin. During the segment, the star said bluntly that she does not have fillers and proudly showed the camera her gray roots that are starting to come into her hair. Hayek even shared a beauty trick to get flyaway gray hairs under control, brandishing a mascara wand and using it to brush them away.

In an exclusive sit-down with Harper's Bazaar, she doubled down on her stance on fillers and plastic surgery. "I still have not done any Botox, fillers, or peels. Nothing. Sometimes I think I should do something, but I don't know what," Hayek admitted to the publication. However, she's revealed that she has gotten a non-invasive cosmetic procedure, Ultherapy Prime. It's used to tighten the skin by boosting collagen production, which Hayek swears by and is now a certified ambassador for. Overall, Hayek certainly looks amazing for her age, and her outlook on aging and beauty is certainly one we can get behind.
