The Worst-Dressed Celebs Of 2026 (So Far)
Nailing the right look has proven challenging for many celebs in 2026. From the Oscars to the Grammys and more, these stars have stepped out in a series of flops and misses. Whether the outfits were just boring or too outrageous to be flattering, these 2026 moments stand out as unfortunate. What's strange is that many of these celebrities have hit it out of the park in years past, so these duds were abnormal.
There have been a lot of events in 2026 to choose from. There were all of the worst dressed celebs at the 2026 Super Bowl. Then, of course, there are the best and worst looks from The Devil Wears Prada 2 press tour (The pressure was on for these events!). Then there are all of the award shows, which offer an array of looks on the red carpets that either slay or leave fans wanting more. So, from Heidi Klum and her wild, nude gown to Doechii and her 13-foot-long train to Kirsten Dunst and her drab black Oscars look, 2026 has been sartorially tough for many.
Sarah Pidgeon's pink bag dress didn't do a thing for her
Sarah Pidgeon wore a pink Balenciaga gown to the Actor Awards in California on March 1, 2026. The comically low drop-waist on the gown gave her a shapeless silhouette, and the drab shade of pink was absolutely lifeless. The only redeeming element of the look was her hair; Pidgeon is unrecognizable in pics before her Carolyn Bessette Kennedy hair transformation, and she looks fabulous in her newly-blond do. Besides that feature, though, this look was unflattering on the gorgeous young star.
Claire Danes' Prada gown managed to be both boring and unflattering
Claire Danes arrived at the Time100 Gala on April 23, 2026, in New York City wearing a black and white Prada gown. The shapeless dress and sloping shoulders made Danes appear wider than she is, and the color scheme of the dress was bland. On Instagram, people had thoughts. "Girl, why?" someone asked about the unfortunate look. "Pass," another commented, not mincing words. Meanwhile, others addressed the unflattering shape of the dress and how unfortunate this was on the beautiful star.
Odessa A'zion's black pant suit was aging on her
Odessa A'zion, who shot into stardom thanks to her role in "Marty Supreme," attended the 2026 Oscars in a black, oversized pantsuit. The long sleeves of the top and the billowy fabric of the pants overwhelmed A'zion's frame. There was too much fabric that the fit looked sloppy and aged on her. While she did make headlines for wearing 55 carats of diamonds at the Oscars, the look didn't dazzle at all. However, she does get bonus points for her fun hair and adorable curlicue bangs.
Rhea Seehorn's bell-shaped blue gown was a wacky mess
Rhea Seehorn arrived at the Actor Awards in a blue, bell-shaped dress by Louis Vuitton on March 1, 2026. The gown was certainly unique, but not a flattering choice by Seehorn, who has surged in popularity thanks to her hit show "Pluribus." From afar, the dress looked like it was made out of denim, but up close, one could see that it was actually made from blue brocade. The shape and texture were too confusing to be a win.
Miley Cyrus' chaotic Grammys look wasn't memorable
Miley Cyrus doesn't typically miss on red carpets, so her black outfit at the 2026 Grammy Awards was that much more surprising. She went for a rocker-chic vibe, wearing a Celine leather jacket with a white shirt and tapered slacks. The outfit was a busy cluster of mixed pieces. The jacket's hectic straps, combined with the oversized brooch, sunglasses, and tiny gloves, made the look feel overloaded. It was hard to even see Cyrus underneath all of the busy accessories.
Chloé Zhao's funeral look was a flop at the 2026 Oscars
Chloé Zhao arrived at the Oscars in March 2026 in a black veil and a shiny black dress with long wizard sleeves. The veil was actually a daring, gothic choice. What dragged the outfit down was actually Zhao's wizard sleeves. They made the fit look too much like a theater costume rather than a bold, winning choice for the red carpet. Had she gone with a more matte fabric on her gown and regular sleeves, she could have pulled off the bold, black veil.
Heidi Klum's molded Grammy's dress gets a yikes
Never one to be boring on the red carpet, Heidi Klum arrived at the 2026 Grammys in a shiny, molded, flesh-toned dress by German designer Marina Hoermanseder. The leather of the dress had been formed to a 3D mold of Klum's body. It was certainly unique, but it looked absolutely impossible to walk in, and Klum admitted that she wouldn't be able to sit down because the dress was so restrictive. On Instagram, one fan summed it up perfectly: "Imagine being able to wear anything, and this is what you choose." Yup.
Doechii's wild orange and purple dress was certainly memorable
Rapper and songwriter Doechii arrived at the 2026 Grammy Awards in a purple ensemble that had a lot going on. There was the strappy, orange bra top. Then there was the asymmetrical hemline on the front of the gown, along with an extravagantly long train of 13 feet of gathered fabric. She paired this with strappy sandals. While Doechii's hair and makeup was fabulous, the custom Roberto Cavalli gown didn't lift her overall look, and Doechii's fit was overwhelming.
Kirsten Dunst's 2026 Oscars dress was a total snooze
Kirsten Dunst's black gown at the 2026 Oscars was so boring. She wore a custom black Celine gown featuring simple black tiers of fabric. The neckline of Dunst's gown was bizarrely high, and the plain look was made that much more unimaginative by her slick-back bun and barely-there makeup. People had thoughts on Instagram. "The top part looks tight like you do when you wrap your towel around you after a shower," someone wrote. "I adore her but please stop wearing black on the red carpet! Change it up," another added. "Hate it," a third shared.
