HGTV's Mina Starsiak Hawk Is No Stranger To Cosmetic Procedures

Though side-by-side pictures of Mina Starsiak Hawk highlight how much she's changed, the HGTV star has been pretty open about the various cosmetic procedures behind her transformation. The former "Good Bones" host underwent what's known as a "mommy makeover" after welcoming two children with her husband Stephen Hawk, receiving liposuction, a tummy tuck, breast implants, and a minor fat transfer to her butt in 2021. Though the recovery process was intense and uncomfortable, she was really happy with the results. "I feel strong, I feel attractive — and I feel like myself again," she told People

Hawk practiced an active lifestyle after her initial procedures, which contributed to her overall transformation and eventually prompted her to undergo a nonsurgical buttlift. "I started lifting with Steve and I probably lost about another 20 pounds over that year," she explained on her podcast "Mina AF with Mina Starsiak Hawk" during a November 2023 episode. "When I lost all this weight, although I have been incredibly fit, my legs feel like I'm wearing loose pantyhose because of the skin and my butt is like a half-filled bag of flour."

Because of this, Hawk opted to get filler injections in her butt, explaining on her podcast that she and her doctor opted for injectables over surgery based on her previous procedures. While the TV personality continually documents her ongoing fitness journey on social media, where her longtime partner Stephen Hawk is also a fitness and nutrition coach, her cosmetic procedures don't end there.

Mina has also undergone an eye lift and laser skin treatment

While Mina Starsiak Hawk's physical transformation has landed her among HGTV stars who can't escape Ozempic rumors, the Indiana native has also turned heads with her face changes. When opening up about her buttlift on "Mina AF," she revealed that she'd undergone a blepharoplasty, also known as an eye lift, to remove some of the saggy and uneven skin above her eyes. While it was a feature that bothered her for several years, the deciding factor for the star was that she could undergo the procedure using only local anesthetic.

Hawk also received UltraClear Laser treatment in early 2026. The cosmetic procedure is described as a skin rejuvenation service that removes damaged skin and promotes new cell growth (per UltraClear Laser). The TV personality documented her post-treatment progress on Instagram, citing the service as best for "acne scars, texture, fine lines, [and] pigmentation." Though she doesn't mention her freckles as something she's specifically targeting, the HGTV star's dotted complexion definitely appears lighter in the final snapshot.

While Hawk has been just as open about receiving Botox and undergoing semi-permanent eyebrow microblading, there are a few things she's adamant she hasn't had altered. "I know a lot of people think I have filler in my cheeks. I don't," she said. "I just have very lovely cheekbones. Those and my ... eyelashes. Those are the things I love most about my face."

The HGTV star has notable reasons for her plastic surgery honesty

Throughout her transformation, Mina Starsiak Hawk has been fairly honest about the reasoning behind her various cosmetic treatments. The "Rock the Block" contestant shared that she experienced a lot of body dysphoria after giving birth to her two children, leading her to seek out her initial makeover. "I just felt like I was wearing a suit, like, wearing someone else's body," she said on the "Let's Talk Plastic Surgery" episode of her podcast, noting the physical limitations she faced, too.

Hawk has also drawn comparisons between her chosen procedures and the more normalized cosmetic changes people make, such as wearing makeup, dyeing hair, and getting tattoos. While it might look different, she argues that everyone does things to look and feel their best. "I do care about what I look like," the renovator said on her podcast in 2023. "I feel better when I look better, and when I feel better, I can do better every day in my life."

There are complicated questions surrounding celebrity transparency and plastic surgery, but Hawk is pretty clear about why she continues to provide insight into her cosmetic procedures. "I just felt like having the platform, it's kind of my responsibility to be honest about those kinds of things," she said, explaining she'd never want to be someone else's source of insecurity. While she's received a lot of feedback, it hasn't all been negative, adding, "Many more women reached out and said, 'thank you for talking about this. I've been wanting to do this, [but] it's such a taboo issue.'"
