Savannah Guthrie's Favorite Dress Gets Plenty Of Wear (We Love A Sustainable Queen)

It seems like Savannah Guthrie has a favorite dress. The beloved NBC News broadcaster shared a photo on Instagram in August 2019 of herself in a gorgeous, sleeveless, knee-length dress covered in clouds. "Why yes, yes, I have worn this cloud dress once a year since 2012," Guthrie wrote in the caption. The Michael Kors dress is so cheerful that it's easy to understand why. 

Guthrie has proven that certain dresses are so special they need to be worn over and over again. Fans loved not only the dress but also her message of sustainability. In a world of fast fashion and wardrobe turnovers, celebrating the continued use of garments is a necessary message. We applaud Guthrie for using her platform to do that because it's rare to see a public figure re-wearing outfits. "I respect you for repeating: we live in a world that wastes- when our world cannot afford to waste," one fan commented. 

Others wished that Guthrie wore the dress even more often. Still others marveled that she could still fit into the same dress so many years later. After all, Guthrie has two children; she welcomed daughter Vale Guthrie Feldman in 2014 and son Charles "Charley" Max Guthrie Feldman in 2016. "Cute – but mostly impressed that you can still fit in it 7 years and 2 kids later!!" one person wrote, saying what everyone else was thinking. 

Savannah Guthrie's eco-conscious approach to fashion doesn't just apply to her dreamy cloud dress. She is a clear outfitrepeater, which is wonderful to see. In addition to her cloud dress, the news anchor has also re-worn the gorgeous Adam Lippes floral print dress called the Evangeline in bright, yellow tones. The dress, sold out at the time of reporting, retails for $2,690. With that kind of price point, it makes sense that Guthrie would pull it out for more than one appearance. She wore it on "Fox & Friends" in February 2024 to talk about her book, "Mostly What God Does: Reflections on Seeking and Finding His Love Everywhere," with Ainsley Earhardt. Guthrie wore the yellow dress again when she attended the White House Correspondents' Garden Brunch in April 2024. 

While Guthrie is loved as a broadcaster and journalist, her fashion sense is yet another reason why she has become such a mainstay of American broadcasting. Guthrie has worn so many great outfits that show off her lethal legs, including some surprisingly short looks. To this point, Guthrie has also proven that heels really do make the outfit by wearing fun, statement pumps. And, most poignantly, when she returned to The Today Show in April 2026 after the disappearance of her mother, Nancy Guthrie, Guthrie sent a strong message with her outfit. She chose yellow as a display of hope. So much like her eco-conscious flair for double-dipping looks, Guthrie knows that fashion can do a lot of the talking.
