Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds Can't Dodge Divorce Rumors

Blake Lively, who's had a stunning style transformation, and husband Ryan Reynolds have been a high-profile couple since they first started dating in 2011. At the time, the LA native was already known for starring in "Gossip Girl," while her new beau had established his comedic abilities with movies like "Van Wilder" and "The Proposal." Since tying the knot in September 2012, the lovebirds have continued to expand their individual acting credits while supporting and collaborating on each other's projects.

Still, they've been subject to plenty of divorce rumors along the way, with red flags in Lively and Reynolds' relationship serving as fuel for speculation. Lively's ongoing legal dispute with her former co-star and director Justin Baldoni has similarly given pop culture fans room to gossip. Lively filed a complaint and formal lawsuit against the celeb after they worked together on the film "It Ends With Us," alleging sexual harassment, a hostile work environment, and a PR-orchestrated smear campaign.

While she's made appearances and statements about the ongoing legal proceedings, Reynolds has been notably quiet, despite his initial involvement and support. Outlets suggested a growing distance between the duo when the "Deadpool" actor broke tradition by skipping out on a birthday post for his wife back in August 2025. They also made headlines when Lively attended a settlement hearing alone in February 2026. Internet users have been quick to speculate about what these facts mean for the Hollywood marriage, but Lively and Reynolds don't seem too concerned.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have shrugged off divorce rumors in the past

Despite negative rumors, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds appeared to be doing just fine when they attended a Wales sports match in March 2026. The "Buried" actor and his partner were photographed in the stands during a Wrexham-Chelsea face-off, casually embracing. Lively also took to Instagram Stories to share a post-game selfie, smiling alongside her husband. The PDA-filled outing suggested everything is smooth sailing between the Hollywood duo, who seemingly won't be signing divorce papers anytime soon.

Overall, there's been plenty of speculation about Lively and Reynolds' compatibility over the years, with the couple having shut down divorce rumors more than once. Back in 2018, the "Just Friends" star made headlines when he replied to a tweet from IBTimes that alleged he and his significant other were struggling to devote time to one another. "I wish," he replied. "I could use a little 'me time.'"

Lively took a similarly lighthearted approach to the rumors in 2024. In the comment section of a July Instagram post, a fan suggested that the "Gossip Girl" star share more posts with her husband. "[T]here were rumors going around that you two got divorced," the user explained, per E! News. Though the celeb has since turned off her comments, she reportedly replied with a crying laughing emoji, writing "haha they wish." While Lively and Reynolds remain the subject of divorce rumors, it doesn't seem like they'll actually be splitting anytime soon.
