Lisa Rinna's Wildest Outfits That Pair Perfectly With Her Over-The-Top Personality

Although Lisa Rinna got her big break on soap operas "Days of Our Lives" and "Melrose Place," these days she's more known for her eccentric take on fashion. Never afraid to go way outside the box, when Rinna is invited to an event, you better believe she's showing up in an outfit that's completely and totally over the top. This is something she proved once again when she attended the Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards viewing party in March 2026, rocking a dress created from 11 pounds of human hair.

But while a dress made of human hair may seem whacky, taking such a fashion risk is nothing new for Rinna. "I'll never forget, when I was in the second grade, we moved to Oregon and I was wearing this little Izod dress that was really, really short and everybody made fun of me," Rinna told Vogue in September 2025. "I've always worn things that were different than what everybody else was wearing. In the sense of fashion, it was cool, but it was too much for where I lived."

While the full beauty transformation of Rinna is certainly head-turning – she's had quite a bit of plastic surgery along the way – she now seems to be at home in her skin. After all, no one would wear the wild outfits that Rinna wears, if they didn't feel comfortable being the center of attention. Although some outfits outdo others in terms of strangeness, no matter what Rinna wears, it's always something that perfectly matches her boisterous personality.

Putting an avant garde spin on the coquette bow trend

While the unapologetically feminine coquette bow trend of 2023 may have wound down a bit, that didn't stop Lisa Rinna from putting her own spin on how to wear bows for the 2024 Fashion Los Angeles Awards. For the event, Rinna wore a floor-length pink translucent gown by Wiederhoeft with 17 rows of black bows through the bodice and seven rows of bows on each arm. The lines of the design were so perfect that when Rinna stood still, she looked like she'd been wrapped in ribbons and was unable to escape, creating a fantastic illusion.

Taking boho chic to the extreme

If there's anything to know about Lisa Rinna it's that even when she's trying to pull off a casual look like boho chic, her take on it is still going to be extreme. When Rinna attended her own book launch party at the Ashley Longshore Studio Gallery in February 2026, she opted for a lacy skirt, black boots, and a very oversized printed zip-up jacket. While not everyone would choose such a look for the launch of their memoir, we really can't expect anything else from Rinna. "You Better Believe I'm Gonna Talk About It" is out in hardcover now.

Delivering cyberpunk realness

While we don't imagine anyone will be giving Lisa Rinna a fashion award anytime soon, the woman still makes a statement with her look and knows how to make an entrance. In support of her memoir, Rinna sat down in conversation with author Gary Janetti to promote "You Better Believe I'm Gonna Talk About It" in New York in February 2026. Rinna very much dressed the part, opting for baggy silver chrome pants, an animal print top, and sunglasses. She completed the look with spiky, punk-inspired hair.

Serving up Walter White hazmat energy on the streets of NYC

As we've seen, when celebrities take method dressing to the extreme to promote a project, it can really help. Although it tends to be actors who do this for upcoming films, Lisa Rinna decided she'd get in on the action and was spotted all over New York City in late February 2026 wearing a bunch of really outlandish outfits. But of all the looks that Rinna wore, it's this two-piece canary yellow suit by The Attico that really stood out. Not just because it's delivering Walter White's hazmat suit, but it's giving exactly what Rinna craves: attention.

Proving hair can be fashion

When Lisa Rinna was approached about the human hair gown by Christian Cowan for the 34th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party, she admitted it seemed crazy. "The hair is not the finishing touch of this look — it is the look," Cowan, who created the dress in partnership with TRESemmé, told InStyle. The gown consisted of 11 pounds of hair, and it took 152 hours and 16 people to put it together. "The concept for the design was simple but powerful ... [delivering] couture-level results on a couture gown made from hair." Rinna told People she hopes it inspires others to take fashion risks.

Showing off a lot of leg in a quilted minidress

When Viktor & Rolf rolled out their Haute Couture Spring Summer 2023 collection during Paris Fashion Week in January 2023, two things happened. For starters, the looks were so off-the-charts bizarre that it almost felt like you'd just stepped inside Salvador Dalí's brain. Secondly, Lisa Rinna nailed this quilted minidress look by Victor & Rolf, in that it definitely appeals to her eccentric side. Granted, Rinna looks like that weird neighbor who always dresses strange and overstays her welcome, à la Baby Jane, but that's exactly the type of art Victor & Rolf brings to life.

Experimenting with surrealism in Victor & Rolf

For Paris Fashion Week in January 2025, Lisa Rinna hit up the Viktor & Rolf Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2025 show and again brought her A-game. Not only did Rinna wear this delectably bizarre outfit by the designers — mismatching colors and patterns while playing with proportions — but she also had fun with her hair. To really pull it all together and amplify the avant garde surrealism that's an essential part of Viktor & Rolf's aesthetic, Rinna completed her look with a bright orangey-red bobbed wig. She looks part dream and part nightmare which, considering the geniuses behind the ensemble, was probably the goal.

Lisa Rinna is 100% feeling herself

Just when you think Lisa Rinna has outdone herself in wild outfits that perfectly complement her over-the-top personality, she rocks a look like this and you're forced to realize something: This woman has no limits — something we love for her. In December 2025, Rinna attended The Fashion Awards 2025 as a guest of designer Maximilian Raynor, whose design she's wearing in this picture. Everything about this ensemble is dramatic, from the bleached hair and eyebrows, the severe lines of the dress — including pointy shoulders, fringed hemline, and peplum waist. This might be the very look for which Rinna has been waiting her whole life to rock.

Giving new meaning to the word whimsical

No matter how you feel about Lisa Rinna as an entertainer, you have to admit, she's never boring. While side by side pictures highlight Rinna's wild plastic surgery transformation, it's in the same vein as performance artist Amanda Lepore, because that's Rinna's thing. Although this outfit by Marc Jacobs looks relatively tame at first, when you look at Rinna's footwear, which happen to be white horned platforms, it's clear everything about this is whimsical, dream-like, and beautiful. Granted, Rinna is serving up some major Whoville vibes, but who doesn't have a soft spot in their heart for Dr. Seuss?
