She shows up at events wearing sensational, splashy outfits with bodacious hair. Her style seems unusually buoyant for a new widow. On top of that, Kirk and her late husband's brand, as well as their organization, Turning Point USA, is a decidedly conservative one. Again, while people should be free to express themselves as they wish, some of Kirk's outfit choices don't align with what people typically expect of a conservative woman. Kirk continues to confuse audiences, and she's building a full portfolio of controversial outfits. 

People couldn't understand why Erika Kirk wore white to Charlie Kirk's memorial service. The memorial took place on September 21, 2025, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, where figures like President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Erika Kirk herself addressed the massive crowd. Since black is the traditional color of mourning, Kirk's white suit mystified people. However, this unconventional outfit made more sense with further context. As it turned out, Turning Point USA encouraged attendees to wear red, white, and blue to the memorial to strike a patriotic tone. But it was still a glaring reminder that Kirk's personal styling choices remain unconventional.

That infamous, gold pantsuit was so bold and unfortunate that it became a meme. Erika Kirk stepped out — for reasons known only to her — in a head-to-toe gold sequin pantsuit at the December 2025 AmericaFest to the blast and dazzle of a pyrotechnic display. People found Kirk's outfit gaudy and tasteless, better suited to a WWE championship than a conservative event. Her outfit was so wacky, that at first, people didn't believe the footage was real. People claimed that her choice of dress was no accident, and that through her clothing, she mirrors the controversial belief that women should stay at home and be mothers.
