Melania Trump's Sloppy Hair Extension Fail Will Always Haunt Her
Melania Trump had a really bad hair day, so bad, in fact, that people on X started creating sketchy conspiracy theories about her. "Why is there a hole in Melania Trump's head?" one X user asked. While some were busy hypothesizing whether or not Melania had Neuralink, a neurotechnological brain implant, others were quick to point out that it was simply a bad case of sloppy extensions. Melania, or her stylist, didn't cover the bond section of her hair extensions, revealing part of the clip-in itself, which is what made her look like she had a hole in her head.

Perhaps the reason for the extension fail is because she is not used to wearing them. The truth is that Melania's hair has undergone a huge transformation over the years, and she's had different phases of hairstyles. Back in the '90s, Melania rocked her natural hair color, which is wildly different from the balayage she sports now. In this same era, Melania once wore a rare, curly hairstyle that switched up her whole vibe. Part of the reason that this curly hairstyle didn't last on Melania is because she has very thin hair naturally. The curls just didn't really work; but this is also the reason why Melania now wears hair extensions so frequently. It makes sense that she might want fuller, thicker hair since she's in the spotlight so much, but that also means she's going to have the odd hair extension fail.
Melania Trump's thin hair has led to hair problems beyond extension fails
Melania Trump has thin, fine hair by nature, so it makes sense that she has gravitated towards hair extensions in recent years. But before this, Melania went through some awkward growing pains as she experimented with hairstyles that didn't always flatter her hair texture.
In one instance in May 2000, Melania wore her hair down around her shoulders while in Florida, but she clearly hadn't been exposed to volumizing products at this point, and so when she'd casually style her hair, the result was limp, flat, lifeless tresses. In another instance, Melania made the mistake of experimenting with bangs, as seen in one photo of her and Donald Trump in 2000. Since her hair isn't naturally thick, her bangs were thin and flat. They looked greasy on her forehead because they simply didn't have enough fullness to look good. Thankfully, Melania has learned from these mistakes and has found a style that works for her now. She doesn't go for face-framing pieces anymore, and she certainly doesn't go for bangs. These embellishments don't tend to flatter with thin hair, whereas extensions offer a lot of lift and thickness, even if there is the odd fail.
