Margot Robbie's Wuthering Heights Press Tour Style May Be Even Better Than Her Barbie 'Fits

The vivid, immersive pink world of Greta Gerwig's "Barbie" seemed to bleed out into the real world when star Margot Robbie curated a full press tour of Barbie-inspired looks. Now, she and stylist Andrew Mukamal have teamed up to bring the same fourth-wall-breaking magic to Emerald Fennell's "Wuthering Heights," based on Charlotte Brontë's tragic Gothic romance. If you can't wait to get lost in the striking and passionate aesthetics of Brontë's moors, tide yourself over with Robbie's Gothic fashion looks, or dive into one of the best Gothic horror books.

During a January 2026 interview with Vogue UK, Robbie teased her fashion plans for the film's rollout, suggesting that it would include plenty of bespoke pieces. "The couture shows are in January," she hinted. "So we can see what comes out of that."

Nearly as much effort has gone into prepping Robbie's press tour looks as has gone into costumes for the movie itself. The designs pull very literally from the novel and film's source material, with Mukamal even sourcing antique copies of the novel on eBay. For the world premiere, Robbie wore a gown meant to capture the "decay" of the novel's namesake estate. "Then our outfits are going to evolve throughout the press tour to cover some of the other sets and ideas in the film," she explained to Variety.

Flirty Gothic in Roberto Cavalli

Margot Robbie kicked off the press tour in a minidress from Robert Cavalli Resort 2026 that somehow felt both modern and period-appropriate. There was an interesting tension between the sweeping bell sleeves and the antique-feeling Tudor neckline, compared to the modern, super-short hemline. Towering Christian Louboutin stiletto pumps amped up the sense of contrast, and the added jeweled pendant, on a thick velvet ribbon, was the perfect dramatic touch. "It's giving 90s Anne Boleyn," wrote one Reddit user.

Body skimming Markgong

Red, white, and black have emerged as key color themes in Margot Robbie's "Wuthering Heights" press tour looks, showcased perfectly in the fitted style she wore for an interview alongside co-star Jacob Elordi. The dress, from the Markgong SS26 runway, featured a patterned lace overlay and a bodice that evoked tumbling bra straps. It's giving lingerie as outerwear. Robbie gave an edgy finishing touch with slashed over-the-knee leather boots, also by the Chinese designer. "These boots are in my dreams," commented model Charlotte Roberts on Instagram.

Vivid snakeskin from Dilara Findikoglu

Yet again, Margot Robbie found a way to blend contemporary fashion with Gothic influence. Her red snakeskin look with angular shoulders contrasted nicely with the Tudor neckline, micro skirt, and laced detailing on the corseted bodice. A structured ruffle on the back of the dress even evoked a bustle.

Robbie accented the look with a pair of antique-coded sunglasses with small, oval lenses. The design was created by Dilara Findikoglu, and stylist Andrew Mukamal shared the look along with a line from the pages of "Wuthering Heights," making the connection between fashion and source material explicit: "'I'd rather be hugged by a snake.' 🐍"

Romantic lace from Alexander McQueen

Few fashion houses do Gothic romance quite as perfectly as Alexander McQueen, so it makes sense that Margot Robbie wore a look from the British brand for an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." This black lace dress is a Gothic update of the naked dress trend. Both the asymmetrical lace ruffles of the dress and the loosely crimped waves of Robbie's hair perfectly suit the wildly romantic tone of "Wuthering Heights."

The best detail, however, is the vampy heels, which feature rosaries on the straps and hanging from the buckle. It's the perfect little thematic detail. This look would pair perfectly with gorgeous "Wuthering Heights"-inspired nails.

Drama and poison from Schiaparelli

For the "Wuthering Heights" world premiere, Margot Robbie pulled out all the fashion stops. Her sculptural, strapless Schiaparelli gown was custom-designed by Daniel Roseberry, who drew on the Gothic story's themes to inform this look. "We were like, 'If we were to make Wuthering Heights into a dress, what would it look like?'" Robbie explained to Variety. In an Instagram post, Roseberry broke down each of the gown's elements: "The lace brought the romance, the silhouette was the drama. And that red velvet sfumato hem was all passion — and a bit of poison."

Delicate texture from Victoria Beckham

Amid a range of intense Gothic looks, Margot Robbie and stylist Andrew Mukamal turned to Victoria Beckham for a very different kind of "Wuthering Heights"-inspired ensemble. The white and feathered tank dress had an angelic, ethereal feel. And, unlike some of the other more opulent looks, this look is styled simply, leaving the spotlight on its fragile texture.

Again, stylist Andrew Mukamal shared the look to Instagram, captioned with lines from the book that made the connection between fashion and source material obvious: "Tossing about, she increased her feverish bewilderment to madness, and tore the pillow with her teeth ... she seemed to find childish diversion in pulling the feathers from the rents she had just made, and ranging them on the sheet according to their different species"
