Bettina Anderson and Donald Trump Jr. announced their engagement on December 15, 2025, solidifying a relationship that began in August 2024. Considering the fact that her future father-in-law is the president of the United States, Anderson's public persona comes with certain expectations, namely that she will maintain the decorum of a political wife. While that may seem straightforward, some of Anderson's fashion choices don't exactly jive with this. In addition, Karoline Leavitt has worn several sensational outfits that clash with her press secretary persona. Even Usha Vance has opted for outfits that showed off her killer legs, so it's not like MAGA women are shy about making their outfits sexy. Nevertheless, Anderson has pushed the envelope a few times with her ensembles and she may have to ditch some of these looks when she becomes Mrs. Trump. 

While attending the amfAR Palm Beach Gala in Florida on March 15, 2025, Bettina Anderson stunned in a short, sequin minidress with strappy sandals alongside Donald Trump Jr. Interestingly, Anderson rocked the playful dress shortly after news broke that Trump Jr's ex-wife, Vanessa Trump, was officially dating Tiger Woods. Since Vanessa was making headlines, Trump Jr. and Anderson clearly wanted to pull the spotlight back onto their relationship, and Anderson's micro dress, which showed legs for days, was a smart way to do this. However, this move is something we expect more for a pop star pair, not a political power couple.

While she kept things patriotic by wearing an American flag pin, her choice to wear highly visible color and cut was unusual given the somber nature of the event. This was especially the case given that many other guests, particularly Kirk's widow, Erika Kirk, opted to wear black out of a sign of respect.

However, First Lady Melania Trump has worn longer hemlines since her husband entered politics, and Anderson may have to make this switch as well.
