Erika Kirk Broke A Cardinal Rule Of Fashion During A Fox & Friends Appearance
Erika Kirk made an appearance on Fox News in December 2025 to discuss her late husband, Charlie Kirk's, new book, "Stop, in the Name of God: Why Honoring the Sabbath Will Transform Your Life." While there, she broke the cardinal fashion rule of no white after Labor Day. Erika paired white, flared trousers with a black, long sleeve top and posed for pictures. Fox News personality Ainsley Earhardt shared a photo of the event on X with the caption: "What a blessing to have the beautiful and strong Erika Kirk on our show today."

Erika wore these white pants in December, months after Labor Day. This fashion rule emerged in the late 19th and early 20th centuries when New York socialites would leave the city in the summer time, giving them an opportunity to wear white clothing. When they returned to the city in the fall, the grime and dirt of New York made it difficult to wear white, so it was considered a mark of status. From there, it took off as a sartorial tradition, and white has long been considered unacceptable in the winter. Dark colors could camouflage the soot and dust of big cities, so Erika took a huge risk by wearing white pants in New York City in December.
Erika Kirk has struggled with fashion since taking over Turning Point USA
Erika Kirk's white pants were just one of her many recent fashion fails since coming into the spotlight after her husband's death. When she spoke with Megyn Kelly in November 2025, Erika arrived in a pant suit made entirely of lace. While black as a color choice makes more sense than white — considering the fact that it was the winter time and that Erika was in mourning — the lace was unusual. It seemed inappropriate and slightly too distracting for their heavily-televised and very serious conversation.
While Erika continues to show up to speaking engagements following her husband's death, she has struggled to nail the right look in her new role as the CEO of Turning Point USA. And it's not just clothing. Side-by-side pictures of Erika show that she needs to go back to the basics with her makeup routine. It's rare, but Erika looks completely different when she ditches the glam for something more natural. The same goes for her mane; it's rare, but there are moments where Erika gives a glimpse of her natural hair. The rest of the time, it's heavily styled and camera-ready. Clearly, Erika's in a transition phase where she's adjusting to the spotlight being solely on her, in addition to grieving her husband. It's been a bit of a bumpy time for her style, but no doubt she'll get the hang of it soon enough.
