Side By Side Pics Highlight Lisa Rinna's Wild Plastic Surgery Transformation

Lisa Rinna first got her lips done when she was 23. It all happened because the actor watched "Beaches," and Rinna was so taken with Barbara Hershey's pout that she got four permanent silicone injections in her upper lip to emulate it. "In the beginning, it was great, but then it started to feel hard and bumpy, like peas," the soap star acknowledged to People in 2010, explaining that the silicone had migrated and hardened over the years. "I was crazy to even touch them in the first place," she added. Although Rinna hoped that cortisone shots would reduce the swelling, it only made the situation worse, and she was still left unhappy with how her lips looked. But, in 2010, plastic surgeon Garth Fisher proudly confirmed that he could fix them.

Performing a lip reduction, he reconstructed her upper lip and removed some of the damaged scar tissue. And Rinna was delighted with the results. "You can see my teeth when I smile now, which you couldn't do for a while," she pointed out. "I've been smiling these big smiles. My lip is back to being smooth." Her husband, fellow actor Harry Hamlin, admitted that he hadn't even noticed the negative shift that the silicone took, although he did like her more natural look after Dr. Fisher fixed her upper lip. "Whatever change took place was so gradual, it never registered for me," Hamlin reasoned, sharing that when he kissed Rinna, her lips always felt soft. While the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" alum managed to fix her lips, she's had other work done, too.

Lisa Rinna acknowledged going a bit too far with fillers over the years

Lisa Rinna's lips tend to steal the show, but the "Days of Our Lives" alum has also opened up about her regrets relating to how much filler she's had over the years too. In May 2024, the actor spoke to People about getting Skinvive, an injectable gel that plumps up the skin and gives it a more youthful glow. Unfortunately for Rinna, it gave her face slightly too much volume in the mid-cheek area. When aesthetic physician assistant Nicole Smith criticized Rinna's filler in a since-deleted video on TikTok, in April 2024, the outspoken former reality star noted in the comments: "Skinvive is not for everyone, and it was not good for me. Luckily we could dissolve it today. Whew." Thankfully, Rinna was able to turn the procedure around, and she was pretty relaxed about it.

"Some things work out and some things don't," the soap star conceded to People. Rinna was ultimately grateful that there were so many available options out there, so that people can figure out what works for them personally. But the actor is in good company, as many other celebrities have also undergone notable transformations. Side-by-side photos of fellow reality star Christina Haack show how drastically her face has changed. And, much like Rinna, side-by-side pics of Courteney Cox highlight how far she's gone with plastic surgery too. Not to be forgotten, Khloe Kardashain's side-by-side pics showcase how unrecognizable she's become. So Rinna is not alone in embarking on a plastic surgery journey, one that's textured with regret as well as changes she was happy with.
