As soon as winter hits, the stars step out for festive events more decked than the halls, slipping into looks so good they turn the most wonderful time of the year into a high-fashion runway. Take it from the queen of Christmas herself Mariah Carey, who loves nothing more than dialing up the glitz. Kylie Jenner left fans stunned in 2019 when she and daughter Stormi Webster teamed up in matching Ralph and Russo deep green gowns for the annual Kardashian Christmas Eve party. Jenner's form-fitting, off-the-shoulder number was so sultry and elegant, while the long train and bow on her hip made a statement worthy of the most festive time of the year — all while giving us bougie Christmas tree vibes. We also give "The Kardashians" star major points for matching her satin footwear to the dress so expertly.

Diana Ross proved why she's one of the ultimate divas at TNT's "Christmas in Washington" event in 2021. She wore a stunning ballgown with a black bodice, large white tulle skirt, and the most gorgeous ornate, gold detailing around her hips and across her torso. The showstopping gown proved why not every holiday outfit has include the traditional green or red to sleigh, so much so she gave Mariah Carey a run for her money as queen of the season.

We can't get over how good Zendaya looked in a Santa Claus-inspired dress in the music video for "Shake Santa Shake" during her time on "Shake It Up." The "Dune" star sleighed in a red sequin skater number with a fluffy, white trim and flattering, sparkly waist belt. The star, who was one of Nickelodeon's biggest names at the time, wore it with red glittery T-bar shoes to serve the ultimate fabulous Mrs Claus aesthetic. Kelly Clarkson's glamorous side came out in 2023 for her Christmas Tree Lighting at the Rockefeller Plaza performance. Her bold, oversized coat with a fur trim marked a dramatic new chapter in Clarkson's style transformation, while the waist belt highlighted her figure. Pairing it with a black top and leather-look gloves also allowed the dramatic outerwear to have its moment. Ariana Grande served naughty-but-nice frosty diva vibes when she performed at iHeartRadio Jingle Ball back in 2014. As much as we love seeing celebrities in  slinky, holiday-inspired gowns, they're not always the most practical in the cold weather. That's why we can't help but admire Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner's very wearable 2022 holiday ensemble. She paired a red and black plaid blazer with a simple black top, pants, and chunky boots, which proved not every festive look has to be totally over-the-top to sleigh.
