Signs Amy Schumer And Husband Chris Are Headed For Divorce

Rumors are circulating that Amy Schumer and her husband, Chris Fischer, are on the rocks and are headed for divorce. The gossip began in conjunction with Schumer's recent weight loss. "Amy is 100 percent getting divorced. She got skinny, she is over it," a source told the Daily Mail. This source noted that Fischer, a chef, often works and is rarely at home, which adds stress to their marriage. 

Schumer has spoken a lot about her weight loss journey and has remained candid about using weight loss drugs to move things along. She said that she first started by using Ozempic, but it made her feel sick, so she switched to Mounjaro and lost 35 pounds. But people have connected Schumer's new look with gossip about her allegedly failing marriage, stating that she's done. To make matters even more strange, Schumer listed their Brooklyn brownstone in March 2025 and then lowered the price in July 2025. However, the Wall Street Journal reported that the reason for this is so that their son can go to school in Manhattan. She also listed her New Orleans home in October 2025, but took it off the market only four days later. Because of all of this behind-the-scenes upheaval, people are worried about the state of Schumer and Fischer's marriage. 

Despite divorce rumors, Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer are not throwing in the towel just yet. In fact, other reports state that the couple still wants their relationship to work. "They're privately working through normal issues that couples in long-term marriages have," an insider told People in November 2025. "They are both committed to the relationship." In fact, Schumer responded to divorce speculation when she shared a story on Instagram on November 6, 2025, and wrote in the caption, "And Chris and I are still married."

Fischer and Schumer married in February 2018 in Malibu and welcomed a son, Gene David Fischer, on May 5, 2019. Since then, they've presented, by all accounts, as a happy couple. It looks like Fischer and Schumer are joining the ranks of celebrities who've had to laugh off divorce rumors, and as long as it's right for them, they will hopefully be counted among the celebrity marriages that will stand the test of time.
