Inside Young Sheldon Star Raegan Revord's Book Club For Young Adults

While Oprah Winfrey first popularized the celebrity book club back in the '90s, the 2020s have truly been the era of the star-led reading group. Reese Witherspoon and Jenna Bush-Hager have proven to be major figures in the literary landscape, but we've also seen Dua Lipa's Service95 highlight some great reads while Dakota Johnson launched her own collective in 2024. These book clubs have definitely provided a new avenue for adult readers to expand their reading horizons, with rising actor Raegan Revord bringing the format to a young adult audience.

The California native, who you might recognize as the real-life actor behind Missy Cooper of "Young Sheldon," launched Read with Raegan in 2019 with that very goal in mind. "I didn't see that space for kids to fall in love with reading," they told People in 2024. Since its inception, the group has highlighted a variety of adult and young adult titles, ranging from "The God of the Woods" by Liz Moore to "Nobody in Particular" by Sophie Gonzales. If the idea of this literary conversation has piqued your interest, it's actually very easy to join the Read with Raegan book club.

Not only does joining an online reading group land on the shy girl's guide for joining a book club, but it can also be a great way to tap into different conversations and find new reads. As explained on the group's website, though Read with Raegan specifically targets young readers, book lovers of all ages are welcome to join the reading group and participate in online discussion. "We believe that great stories have no age limit, and we encourage anyone who enjoys YA books to be a part of our community," reads the FAQ.

To do so, members simply need to follow the club's social media pages, including Instagram and TikTok, to stay up-to-date on the monthly reading selections. Additionally, there's a dedicated Goodreads page for readers to participate in discussions and stay tuned into each other's thoughts, while Revord also shares author interviews on the group's YouTube channel. "My biggest goal is to make it not like an interview, but like a conversation," they told People.

Fans can go the extra mile by signing up for the Read with Raegan newsletter, which provides info about Revord's favorite reads, the club's literary discussions, and bookish giveaways on a monthly basis. Overall, while there are a lot of solid celebrity reading groups to tune into, Raegan Revord's YA-centric book club is a great pick for young readers and lovers of the genre.
