Shiloh Jolie Has Grown Into A Stunning Young Woman Right Before Our Eyes

Shiloh Jolie has mainly stayed out of the spotlight as she's grown up, shunning public appearances and interviews for a more private life. But her mom Angelina Jolie did allow Shiloh and her siblings to be visible (to an extent) to expose them as much of the world as possible. "It's a part of their life. But it's not important to them and a center of their lives in a way that's unhealthy, so it's all fun," Angelina Jolie told Extra.

But while Shiloh may not be an uber-visible nepo baby with her own TV show, makeup line, or influencer career, we've still had a front row seat to her gorgeous transformation — as well as the transformation of her younger sister Vivienne Jolie. Through tidbits her parents have shared and a handful of red carpet appearances, we've watched this famous daughter evolve from one of the most famous babies in the world to a stunning young woman, carving out her own life and career away from her A-list parents' shadows. And her unique evolution is nothing short of beautiful.

2006: Newborn Shiloh Jolie had everyone clambering to see her baby pictures

Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt was born in Africa in 2006, but she was famous long before she entered the world. All eyes were on her mom Angelina Jolie amid her first pregnancy and, when Shiloh arrived, the world was clambering for their first glimpse of her and Brad Pitt's offspring. People paid $4 million for the North American rights to publish her first photos, according to ABC News. Though Shiloh was Angelina and Pitt's first biological child, she had two siblings, as Angelina was already mom to two adopted children, Maddox and Zahara.

In 2007, Angelina and Pitt adopted a son, Pax, the same year Angelina opened up about how her daughter was fast developing her own personality. "Shi's so full of light and love, she's just a little honey, and very, very funny. I think I'm recognizing some of myself in that one — she's going to be a little bit of trouble!" the new mom told MSN (via People).

2008: Shiloh Jolie made her acting debut and took on a new moniker

Unsurprisingly, as the daughter of two of the most famous actors in Hollywood, it didn't take Shiloh Jolie-Pitt long to make her acting debut. In 2008, she appeared alongside her dad in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." But her early gig wasn't planned. The National Enquirer claimed Pitt put Shiloh forward for role after the twin babies hired to play a young version of Cate Blanchett's character weren't up to the task. "She's a natural. Shiloh did her scenes perfectly and was giggling and happy throughout her big day," a source shared (via People).

But Shiloh didn't get the acting bug. Angelina later revealed she'd asked her daughter to revive her acting career for a role in her 2014 movie "Maleficent," but Shiloh couldn't have been less interested. "I asked Shiloh about being Aurora, and she laughed in my face. She said she'd be a horned creature," she told Elle.

Around the same time as Shiloh's acting debut, Pitt opened up about how she was expressing herself as he and Angelina welcomed twins Vivienne and Knox into the world. "She only wants to be called John. John or Peter. It's a 'Peter Pan' thing, so we've got to call her John," he shared on "The Oprah Winfrey Show." "I'll say, 'John, would you like some orange juice?' And she goes, 'No!' So, you know, it's just that kind of stuff that's cute to parents and it's probably really obnoxious to other people," Pitt joked.

2010: The determined youngster was making her own style decisions

Shiloh Jolie was authentically fashion-forward from a young age, and ready to make her own decisions. "I think [Shiloh] is fascinating, the choices she is making," Angelina Jolie told Reuters. The actor confirmed she and Brad Pitt had a hands-off approach to parenting and were allowing Shiloh to decide how she wanted to life her own life and present herself.

Shiloh's style transformation was so striking that Angelina complimented her young daughter's fashion flare to Vanity Fair (via Today). "[She] has Montenegro style. It's how people dress there. She likes tracksuits, she likes [regular] suits," Angelina said. "She likes to wear boys' everything. She thinks she's one of the brothers," the superstar added, confirming Shiloh had asked for her hair to be cut short (a look she'd dip in and out of several times throughout her life).

But the "Maleficent" actor raised eyebrows in 2012 after she suggested she treats her biological daughter differently to her adopted children. "It's funny because she's almost going to be the outcast in the family because she's blonde and blue-eyed," Angelina told Look (via The Standard), adding that Shiloh physically resembled her dad. "I felt so much more for Madd, Zahara and Pax because they were survivors. Shiloh seemed so privileged from the moment she was born. But I'm conscious that I have to make sure I don't ignore her needs, just because I think the others are more vulnerable."

2016: She dealt with her parents' divorce and made her voice acting debut

Shiloh Jolie and her siblings endured a tough time in 2016 when Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt amid multiple red flags. Angelina claimed she ended her marriage to the "Ocean's Eleven" star for their kids, telling told Vogue India, "I separated for the wellbeing of my family. It was the right decision. I continue to focus on their healing." She also addressed the various rumors about their split, noting, "Some have taken advantage of my silence, and the children see lies about themselves in the media, but I remind them that they know their own truth and their own minds."

Despite not having acting dreams, Shiloh made her voice acting debut that same year when she played Shuai Shuai in "Kung Fu Panda 3" alongside her siblings and mom. "They were kind of shy," Angelina told Entertainment Tonight. "They don't really want to be actors, but I didn't want them to miss the opportunity. They came in, and they had a lot of fun with it," she added.

Fashion seemed to be more Shiloh's calling, though. While posing with her family at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival, Shiloh showed her effortlessly cool, androgynous flare in a black shirt, pants, and shoes, with a black and gray flannel shirt unbuttoned over the top. She also layered necklaces to elevate the look, which seemed to be all her own doing. Angelina later told WSJ Style, "I don't think [my children] like the idea of being styled by someone else. So much of clothing is identity and if someone else is styling you and if someone else is dictating who you are and what you wear ... I want to know who my children are."

2018: Shiloh Jolie experienced health issues and needed surgery

Shiloh Jolie's transformation took an unexpected turn when she experienced a couple of health issues. In 2018, she had a scary incident when she broke her arm while vacationing with her family in Lake Tahoe, People reported. "[Shiloh] broke her arm while snowboarding," a source shared, adding "Mom was very grateful to the team who helped her."

Two years later, the 13-year-old was back in the hospital, this time for a mystery medical issue. Angelina confirmed her daughter's health woes to Time, sharing, "I have spent the last two months in and out of surgeries with my eldest daughter, and days ago watched her younger sister go under the knife for a hip surgery."

"They know that I am writing this, because I respect their privacy and we discussed it together and they encouraged me to write. They understand that going through medical challenges and fighting to survive and heal is something to be proud of," she wrote. Fortunately, it seems that Shiloh made a full recovery.

2020: The Jolie family locked down and Shiloh got closer to both parents

As the world shut down amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Shiloh Jolie and her family were forced to slow down their busy, jet-setting lifestyles. Angelina Jolie spoke to People about how her kids rallied around one another, confirming they locked down with her. "I've found that the kids have really come together. I have a big group, and with Maddox coming back from college and being in the same house, they've really had to manage this together," she said. It sounds like the family had some fun amid the dark time too. "We've also all gotten very good at dark tag, this new thing that we do where we turn all the lights off and [chase each other]," Jolie shared.

A source also spoke to Entertainment Tonight in 2020 about how Angelina and Brad Pitt had worked on their communication for their children and developed a more stable routine. "Their kids have a custody schedule and that's made a huge difference for the whole family. The schedule has alleviated any of the planning pressures Brad and Angelina have faced in the past," the source said. "Now the kids spend time with both their parents and are happy and thriving," they added. Angelina told Harper's Bazaar in 2019 that she'd chosen to live close to Pitt in Los Angeles so that Shiloh and her siblings could easily spend time with their dad. "I would love to live abroad and will do so as soon as my children are 18. Right now I'm having to base where their father chooses to live," she said.

2021: Shiloh developed a penchant for wearing her mom's dresses

All eyes were on Shiloh Jolie in 2021 when she made major red carpet statements in her mom's clothes. The teen's fashionista side shone through at the "Eternals"' London premiere, when she wore a shortened version of her mom's black-and-white, sweetheart neckline, Dior dress. Shiloh was also spotted at the world premiere of the movie in a strappy, asymmetric, tan dress, which Angelina previously wore for an event at the French Apidology Observatory.

That wasn't the only time one of Angelina's kids wore her old dresses, though. Shiloh's sister Zahara gave her mom's 2014 Oscars gown a new life at the same event. "My kids are all mixed with vintage, and in my old Oscars dress. We did all vintage and upcycled my old stuff," Angelina told Entertainment Tonight. Clearly the superstar didn't mind sharing her designer gowns with her offspring though. "I'm like, 'Oh my god, wear it and wear it better than me! And take it, and it's your turn, anything.' I'm that mom," she told E! News

Fans couldn't believe how much Shiloh had grown up to resemble both her parents, and social media was abuzz after seeing her on the red carpet. "Shiloh..perfect blend of brad and angelina," one X user wrote. Another commented, "Shiloh literally looks like her mom & dad at the same time OMG." We saw a lot more of Shiloh out and about that year. At the Rome premiere of "Eternals," Shiloh wore one of her most stunning red carpet looks ever. She stunned in a chic, sleeveless black dress with a pleated skirt and quirky, cheetah-print sneakers.

2022: Shiloh Jolie was making bank and underwent a dramatic hair transformation

By 2022, Shiloh Jolie was carving out a career in her own right. She'd developed a passion for dancing and her skills caught the world's attention in a clip shared on Instagram by choreographer Cristian Faxola. It showed a group of dancers performing at Millennium Dance Complex, with Shiloh busting moves dressed in all-black behind Faxola. "She loves that she can feel the music, let go and be free, which is super important," a source told InTouch. "She likes all styles of dance but hip-hop and freestyle are her favorites." They added, "Shiloh really can move. Angie and Brad are impressed, they couldn't be prouder." Brad Pitt spoke to Entertainment Tonight about his daughter's love of dance, gushing, "It brings a tear to the eye ... I don't know where she got it from. I'm Mr. Two-Left-Feet here."

It wasn't long before Shiloh was earning her own income from her passion. In 2023, InTouch claimed the youngster was making serious bank in her own right, with a source purporting she brought in $14,000 a week. Good news considering Shiloh is used to living such a lavish lifestyle. "[It's from] small dance jobs, tutoring and reading books to produce as films," a source said.

As Shiloh pursued her passion, she was also experimenting with her look. Though we were used to seeing her sport her natural blond hue, Shiloh took a dramatic step in her hair transformation in 2023. The up-and-coming dancer shaved her locks and died her buzzcut pink for a striking, edgy aesthetic.

2024: She made a poignant name change amid her strained relationship with her dad

2024 was a big year for Shiloh Jolie. On her 18th birthday, she filed to remove "Pitt" from her last name, changing her legal name from Shiloh Jolie-Pitt to Shiloh Jolie. "Shiloh hired her own lawyer and paid for it herself," a source told Entertainment Tonight. Shiloh's petition was granted three months later. Though neither Shiloh nor her parents spoke publicly about the decision, a source told People, "[Brad is] aware and upset that Shiloh dropped his last name. The reminders that he's lost his children, is of course not easy for Brad. He loves his children and misses them." Another source also dished on the family situation to Us Weekly, sharing, "Brad was devastated by this choice. To him, it was more than a change of name — it was a symbol of a deeper estrangement that has been brewing for years."

Shiloh's name change came amid a reportedly strained relationship with her famous dad, with a People source claiming, "He has virtually no contact with the adult kids." Another insider shared a similar story with Us Weekly, noting, "Sadly, Brad doesn't have much of a relationship with his kids. He's not ready to give up on them, but knowing they are dropping his name is upsetting."

2024: Shiloh Jolie's passion for dancing took center stage

Also in 2024, Shiloh Jolie's love of dance became even more prominent. Dancer Chirica Valentin Cătălin shared a video of the teenager dancing on Instagram, writing in the caption, "Her movement is crazy[.] Thank you for your energy." Choreographer Kolanie Marks also posted an Instagram video of Shiloh dancing, which has received more than 135,000 likes at the time of writing. "[I] met Shiloh at my Millennium Class and she was going down in FLAMES.... She shouldn't have been in there! However i saw something that was authentic... she kept coming back and yes still going down and flames!" he wrote. Both videos showed Shiloh had kept her hair short, but she ditched pink for a blond buzzcut.

Marks also opened up about Shiloh's talent to People and made it clear she didn't expect anything to be handed to her because of her famous last name. "My style is a lot harder for a lot of people and it's something that she's dedicated herself to trying to figure out," he said. Shiloh had also been working with choreographer Keelan Carter, who told Daily Mail, "Shiloh is an exceptionally talented dancer, demonstrating dedication and hard work. She is a sincere and straightforward person who never uses her celebrity status to her advantage." He added, "Shi does not rely on her famous name to achieve her goals." No nepo baby here!

2025: Shiloh Jolie worked as a professional choreographer (but had no plans to be a celebrity)

Shiloh Jolie took her passion for dance to a new level in 2025. The talented dancer, who had grown her hair out, turned choreographer and created a dance for a Los Angeles event to launch fashion designer Isabel Marant's Net-A-Porter collection. Proving she wasn't looking to capitalize from her famous family, she ditched her last name and worked under the pseudonym Shi.

That same year, Shiloh took another step in her physical transformation. She was spotted out with friends in New York City with longer, super light, slicked back, blond hair while rocking a lip stud and heavy, smoky eyeshadow. But even though the 19-year-old was famous enough to be followed by the paparazzi, Angelina Jolie made it clear her daughter had no desire to become a famous actor.

"I always wanted [my children] to be around film because I wanted them to know ... it's such a wonderful family, to be creative, to be an artist ... They're not interested," Angelina said at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival (via Daily Mail). "They really don't like any of the celebrity part of it, especially Shiloh hates it," she added. But even though Shiloh may not have big acting ambitions in her future, we have no doubt her impressive dance skills will take her far. If her transformation so far is anything to go on, Shiloh Jolie is destined for big things.
