Raegan Revord's Favorite Read Is A Celeb Book Club-Approved Fantasy That Will 'Make You Cry'

You may recognize Raegan Revord as the real-life actor behind Missy Cooper of "Young Sheldon," but the California native also ranks as a budding author and avid reader. The celeb launched an online book club called Read With Raegan back in 2019, aiming to provide an online literary space for young people. Since then, they've gone on to publish their first novel in September 2025, with "Rules for Fake Girlfriends" hitting the shelves as a Reese's Book Club-approved young adult romance novel.

With this in mind, it's no surprise that Revord has curated a notable list of literary recommendations, with the celeb being questioned about their favorite authors at Reese Witherspoon's Shine Away Conference 2025. Women.com was on the scene at the LA-based event, attending an October 12 panel featuring Revord alongside Tembi Locke and Rainbow Rowell. The "Wish Upon" actor shouted out author Matt Haig, calling his novel "The Midnight Library" a "beautiful book." They added, "It will make you cry."

Besides getting Revord's stamp of approval, the 2020 release was selected as a Good Morning America book club pick and recognized as Readers' Favorite Fiction in the 2020 Goodreads Choice Awards. It also landed on our list of the best books of the 2020s for millennials and it boasts over 2 million ratings on GoodReads. Given all the love, this Matt Haig title is definitely a rec that fans of popular fiction and magical realism should check out.
