Karoline Leavitt Is No Stranger To A Messy Makeup Moment (Unfortunately)

Makeup is a big part of Karoline Leavitt's look. We know that because the White House press secretary is always gussied up during press briefings and talked fans through her makeup routine in a since deleted 2023 Instagram upload. She revealed how she achieves her signature glam, which includes foundation, mascara, and a heavy does of contour and bronzer. She also lifted the lid on some of her favorite products, including Tarte's Maneater Silk Stick Bronzer and Morphe Bake & Set Translucent Setting Powder.

But while Leavitt — who looked so different before she joined the Trump train — clearly knows what she's doing when it comes to cosmetics, unfortunately, her skills haven't always translated into a flawless look. In fact, this political figure is no stranger to a very messy makeup moment, from getting mascara on her eyeball (ouch!) to blinding us in a sea of highlighter. And her worst blunders are truly a sight to see.

No one wants a dark undereye, but Karoline Leavitt took the anti-dark circle movement a little too far in a 2023 Instagram snap. Leavitt, who also looks stunning without makeup, had clearly applied concealer that was far lighter and more yellow-toned than her foundation. She'd likely added a white powder over the top as well, which caused a flashback as she smiled for the flash photography. That made her whole undereye look totally unnatural and seriously distracting.

Because she'd applied faux tan (this was one of Leavitt's many embarrassing fake tan fails) all over, it looked extra light and drew attention to her nose instead of subtly highlighting the bridge.
