Christina Haack Can't Escape These Relationship Rumors

Christina Haack isn't just the queen of HGTV; she's also the queen of the relationship rumor. It feels like there's a never-ending gossip cycle swirling around the former "Flip or Flop" turned "Christina on the Coast" star — one as dramatic as Haack's transformation since her HGTV debut. This star has had a very busy romantic life during her time in the spotlight, including marriages to Tarek El Moussa, Ant Anstead, and Joshua Hall, plus a handful of other much-whispered-about relationships. In fact, Haack's dalliances have highlighted some serious relationship red flags we've learned to avoid.

But it's not just her ill-fated marriages that have sparked speculation, as long as her signature hair extensions (which Haack looks almost unrecognizable without). The TV personality has been subject to cheating allegations by her boyfriend's ex, faced allegations she texted another man behind El Moussa's back, and even reportedly enjoyed a brief fling with a sports star. Christina Haack made her romance with Christopher Larocca Instagram official in February 2025, and it wasn't long before rumors swirled that it wasn't all above board. Larocca's ex-girlfriend, Andrea Deanna, gave a tell-all to Daily Mail in April, claiming that when Haack and Larocca got together, "While we were still dating, [Christopher and Christina] were dating, and she was still married, and they were still living together." Deanna was referring to Haack's marriage to Joshua Hall, who filed for divorce from the house flipper in July 2024. Deanna also delved into how she supposedly found out Haack and Larocca were involved, telling the outlet, "I would see little hints and signs when I was visiting in town. She would randomly show up in like a parking lot, she would send packages to the house when she knew I was visiting in town."

Hall did nothing to quell the affair speculation, as his rep told the outlet, "We are not surprised about these rumors at all. What's surprising is it took this long for a media outlet to contact Josh and ask about it. We've been awaiting this question." Larocca and Haack both slammed the speculation that they were involved with other people when they got together, though. "[Larocca] ended his relationship with [Andrea] prior to his relationship with Ms. Haack. Any statement that they met in June is untrue," his representative stated. Haack's publicist also slammed the chatter, hitting back, "This person continues to make false allegations and spread lies. Christina was separated when she met Chris."

Christina Haack has faced two sets of rumors that she iced out her now ex-husbands. In 2020, Ant Anstead made it clear he didn't initiate his divorce from Haack, telling People, "I think everybody knows this was not my decision." He added, "It really hit me hard." Though he didn't go into further detail in the interview about how the split came about, a Reddit user claimed to have inside info about their breakup. "When Ant decided to go and see his children in the UK and have to also do a two-week quarantine, she went off the hook nuts," they purported on the social media site, two years after Anstead's interview. "She deleted him and his kids from her Instagram and refused to speak to him. She blindsided him with the divorce," they added. That rumor was never verified by Haack or Anstead, but it wasn't the only time she was accused of blindsiding a partner.

Shortly after Haack and Joshua Hall's split hit headlines in 2024, a TMZ source shared a suspiciously similar story about their breakup. They claimed things imploded when Haack supposedly refused to speak to Hall following a falling out. Their communication reportedly got so bad that Haack would purportedly only interact with him via her attorney. "He feels blindsided and heartbroken," the outlet declared. Haack appeared to reference the rumors on Instagram Stories, though, writing, "For those who aren't aware ... divorces do not happen overnight.. & there is always a breaking point. This one is personal."

Christina Haack was romantically linked to hockey player Nate Thompson in 2017 following her split with Tarek El Moussa. She never publicly confirmed what went on with the athlete, if anything, but the rumor mill went into overdrive when the two were getting close. And there's nothing wrong with that, because a fun fling after an intense breakup can have plenty of benefits. E! News claimed in March that the reality star had supposedly been dating then-Anaheim Ducks player (who also famously had a fling with "The Hills" star Kristen Cavallari) for around a month, and Haack even attended a handful of Ducks games to support him.

TMZ sources claimed they'd been on a couple of dates, and Entertainment Tonight also reported they'd been romancing one another. Just not for long. "Nothing dramatic happened — it was super casual from the start, and they were never an official couple to begin with. Bad timing on both their ends never really let it evolve into something serious," an insider said in April 2017, claiming their tryst was already over after just a few weeks. "They remain friends and there are no bad feelings between them at all," the source added.

Christina Haack was accused of getting a little too close to a contractor following her highly publicized marriage troubles with Tarek El Moussa. That man was Gary Anderson, whom she met in 2015 and went public with in 2017 after splitting with El Moussa. But an InTouch insider claimed Haack and Anderson were supposedly texting behind El Moussa's back before they'd officially ended their marriage. "Christina grew close to Gary. Tarek was suspicious that she was getting involved with someone but had no concrete evidence," the insider claimed. It was even rumored that Haack's first ex-husband supposedly found text messages between the two. "Tarek saw Christina's phone and [believed] there was some inappropriate texting going on between Christina and Gary," they said. However, Haack and El Moussa denied the rumor in a statement. "Neither of us was involved in a romantic relationship with any third party prior to our separation, or believes the other was," they said.

But that wasn't the only time Haack's interactions with a contractor were put under a microscope. In late 2024, following her split from Joshua Hall, Haack raised eyebrows after praising HGTV contractor Michael Lange on social media while posting a snap of him putting up her Christmas tree. The star wrote on her Instagram Story (via Hello!), "There are still good men left ... one of them right here single handedly hoisted this 11 foot tree into my home. Appreciate you ..." A couple of days later, Lange was spotted on her Story once again when she posted a photo where his arm could be seen around her waist. "Putting in the work!" she captioned it (via E! News). Did anything romantic ever happen between these two, though? We may never know.
